Keith RW
Which sound mod you guys using on your HMRs do different manufactures perform differently on different rifles...if that makes sense I know they do on air rifles both sub12 and fac as i have some that I have now deemed "rifle specific" after many trials and tests

Alpha Mule
SAK on mine, which reduces the 'bang', but be aware that the round is doing substantially more than the speed of sound, so you will still get a 'crack'.
69chris
wildcat whisper on my cz, does the job

vampire
Sak on mine, strips easy to clean and it silencers it as much as you can before the crack.
Whitebridges
Sak If i knew of anything substantially better i'd change it. Easy to dismantle and clean every so often.
Paddy Galore!
got a parker hale on mine, I've gone purely for the aesthetics, it's the same diameter as the barrel so it looks tidier.

blackbird
Sak on my HMR cheap as chips & does a good job, last time out I removed the moderator from the HMR just to hear the difference it made, I will not do that in a hurry again sounded louder than a 12 bore. telf
ive had dm80s on both hmrs when i had them, possibly slightly quieter than a sak,but there was a review on you tube somewhere where different mods were tested and the result was that calibre specific mods were slightly more accurate than non cal specific

spready
Im using a Huggett Magna, can't rate it high enough, used all the usual suspect, sirocco , sak, wildcat, and nothing touches it. still get the sonic crack from the round, but all of the muzzle blast is taken away. really pleased with it. surprised not may others use them. Blunderbuss
I have a swift precision mod on mine. I also have a SAK which lives on my .22LR. The Swift is definitely the lighter, slimmer and more elegant looking of the two but no quieter and a bit dearer.
Good shot?
I have a Hogan mod on mine (because it came with the rifle) and cannot fault it.
barney 66
Lei on mine, nice and compact, on the rifle when I bought it otherwise I would not have spent that money on one
WelshMike
Have 2 .17 HMRs both with SAK mods on. Cant fault them for the cost. LEI have great reviews but couldnt justify the difference in price for minimal SNR difference (as per barney 66 post above).
