Walker570
Ref the picture...trail cam early morning heavy mist and I have ,as said, pulled it a bit. I initially thought muntie because we do have a fair few around there, but the tail just seems a bit too gingery. You can just see the pointed shape of a head showing the other side of the protruding support for the flip top and two legs. Twenty past here Ditchie Do not have wild boar around here at the moment and it is too big. Old logs.... well they moved very quickly as they are not on the previous frame and not on the next but a good try. Walker570
Just looked at the previous frames and can now see an animal on the following frame......other than the tree rat. That's the previous and then the following frame. Edited December 26, 2018 by Walker570
Walker570
I am now thinking muntie, about the right size, shape and colour. Same view, mist cleared.

Ahhh...now that we get a close up and the scale of the object is clear....it is obvious. Two blue tits and a grey. 👍

Walker570
One of the joys of sitting about ten yards from this or any flip top is seeing the miriad of small birds that enjoy the peanuts and knowing that the next dead tree rat will help save their eggs and youngsters in the future. The front panel of that flip top has 1/4 inch holes drilled in it so the many tits and woodpeckers can come help themselves. I'm pretty certain it was a muntie although we do have a small but growing population of roe as well. A bit of fun.
