JDog
We were walking along the beach this morning when we came across these tracks. There is nothing unusual about tracks in the sand you may say but these tracks simply ended. The rest of the tracks were not washed away by the tide as the ground was too high for yesterday's tide. We followed them backwards for probably one kilometre and there was simply no variation from the outward bound line of the tracks which may have indicated that someone had reversed. Cranfield
When we launched our dinghy we would reverse the trailer into the shallows, push the dinghy off and thrn drive back up the beach in the same tracks . Or...………..……...it could be aliens.
B725
I would imagine that's its impossible to reverse and stay on the original mark's.
Walker570
I would say reversed to there and then VERY luckily drove back up the same tracks. Even a pro driver would have great difficulty reversing up the same tracks. Back in the 60s we used to have a bit of fun in our motor club. A morning of tests, like a fals moveable kerb where you stated from a fixed position and had to judge how close you could get to that kerb doing a full turn from a standstill..try it, it ain't easy. Used to spread a layer of sand and the driver drove through and then had to reverse back along his marks using only the mirrors, points deducted for every inch or part of out. The old matchbox on an incline was also a good one. Set parking brake, match box under back tyre, drive off. If the match box was crushed even a bit you got zero. DUNKS
Drove down the beach in shallow water as the tide went out. so tracks obliterated. Drove off after tide was well out. Simples!

ditchman
there is always an answer............ like this time last year....Cantley...(where i live).....was the subject in an article of the monthly magazine Kansas Crop Circles...(an american periodicle)..............apparantly photos were taken from an american F16 on exorsise...of a very strange crop circle very near here...........it did the rounds in the USA...and left them flumuxed............ i didnt have the heart to tell them what had made the patterns..........it was done late at night after closing time when Jack the Sniffer took fat sarah into the corn for a good riddling.. ..............so there is an answer to all these queer events....
