redial
I have found these to be the best so far. Any others I should be trying, British made would be nice. Many thanks.
Walker570
Gawd, haven't used one of those for 50yrs or more and didn't know they where still made. Quality multibladed shavers are so good these days.
washerboy
Astra Cheap on ebay
JohnfromUK
Feather are good, but expensive. Astra have been recommended to me as well.
bruno22rf
I use Astra - normally for a first cut then a modern multi to finish whilst in the shower - warm water seems to make the stubble stick up again.
humperdingle
Feather blades for me. Flip the blade over before each shave and they keep a better edge

Didn't have much money to spend on blades like that during student days (mid 1960s), so I often used the cut-throat from my dissection kit. I found shaving was actually a lot easier than cutting thin sections of plant material for microscope slides.
mel b3
This thread has just given me a reminder that I haven’t had a shave for a month 😊.

The Heron
I didn't realise that you could still buy these I thought they were museum items rather like buying newspapers instead of online.

They come with four spare heads for under a fiver IIRC.

bigmcg
Before I went beardy I used Polsilver Super Irridium blades. You can buy packs of blades off eBay with single blades from lots of makers to try them out and find the one that suits you.
GOLDCREST
Another for Polsilver Super Iridiums...I always get mine from Gemstone Trading....There are fakes blades out there, but Gemstone is the genuine article. He does other Blades as well.. reliable seller and cheap.

bruno22rf
The Aldi one used to be superb but I found, about 2 years ago, that the quality plummeted and they were rubbish - maybe they have sorted the issue out.
