Now its tier 4 in the Southwest,  with no mixing at Christmas at all.

The rest of the country have been told only mix on Xmas day.

https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1374578/Tier-4-full-list-what-areas-are-in-Tier-4-evg

Not the southwest I understood. Only the following

  • Greater London (all 32 boroughs and the City of London)
  • Kent
  • Buckinghamshire (including Milton Keynes)
  • Berkshire
  • Surrey (excluding Waverley)
  • Gosport, Havant, Portsmouth
  • Rother and Hastings

In the east of England, the areas affected are:

  • Bedfordshire
  • Hertfordshire
  • Essex (excluding Colchester, Uttlesford and Tendring)
  • Peterborough

So am I, went in to tier 3 this morning and managed to get back over the border without seeing the Police!

My Christmas food is in tier 4 so I’ll need to organise a raid to collect it. I must find the balaclava.

How are they going stop people? I think lots will ignore it and travel anyway.

It should have always oy been Christmas day to get together with others.  Unless in a support bubble.

I don't think the government have done this lightly and were not getting all the info. Borris looked awful with huge bags under his eyes. Bet being pm is taking a toll on him.

It should have been done earlier, change your plans people!

They have let people enjoy shopping and eating out, but now xmas is going to be a wash out for many.

No one will take any notice, before the government said people could have Christmas they were planning to anyway. I work in house refurbishment and people come and go in over 50% of the  houses anyway.

As a country we are ill disciplined and against being instructed its here to stay for us, until this changes.

Tipton is heading for Tier 2.79!

I can't wait for tier 6 , when we aren't even allowed to look out of the window.

Whatever tier were in , and no matter how many personal sacrifices I have to make in my life , the xxxxxxx government will still be happy for me to get up at 4 am on Monday morning and go to work in the xxxxxxx rain 😠😠😠.

I have to agree with this.
They’re saying people can’t go to see their families for more than one day, within their own country, but only ‘advising against’ international travel! Eh?
I can’t see many complying personally.
