Yes I realise that they wouldn't want to be sat still, but it's not like the Gulf where we had footage of constant air strikes on tanks.

I've seen a few drone strikes on the armour,  but they'll need a lot more to stop everything.

The Uk have supplied lots of NLAW anti tank weapons.

The EU committed 70 odd war planes to be delivered to Poland for collection.

The promise has been made but some of the planes (some ex Russian stock) are from Slovakia. SK are saying that they are maintained by Russians and it would be a hard sell in Bratislava. SK wants confirmation from Poland that they will provide Slovakia with air cover.

“+70 planes for the Ukrainian army!
Our partners give us the MiG-29 and Su-25!

Bulgaria (MiG-29) – 16 units
Bulgaria (Su-25) – 14 units
Poland (Mig-29) – 28 units
Slovakia (Mig-29) – 12 units”

The EU doesnt have any planes

It probably thinks it has its own air force and everything, but no , it has pens, laptops , a 10 billion euro admin budget , and about as much tactical knowledge as my cat.

And NATO isnt sending any planes either, its called propaganda.

This one?

https://www.politico.com/news/2022/02/28/ukrainian-pilots-arrive-in-poland-to-pick-up-donated-fighter-jets-00012560

"A proposed deal to allow Ukrainian pilots to fly fighter jets donated by European Union countries has fallen apart.

Over the course of a confusing 48 hours, the EU announced it had brokered an arrangement for member states to allow Ukrainian pilots to start flying their used Russian fighter planes, only to have those countries deny there was any such deal even as Kyiv trumpeted the impending arrival of the jets.

The dissolution of the deal comes as European countries lined up Monday to announce new weapons packages for Ukraine, from anti-armor and anti-air rockets to artillery and medical supplies."

Some idea of what Putin's end goal might look like ...

Russia wants to declare former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych - ousted during anti-government protests in 2013-14 - as the new leader of Ukraine, the Ukrayinska Pravda news and analysis website has reported, quoting Ukrainian intelligence.

Yanukovych is now in Minsk, according to the Ukrainian website's source. He fled to Russia in 2014.

The Kremlin may be preparing a media operation or campaign to bring Yanukovych back to Ukraine, or publish an address from him to the Ukrainian people, the newspaper said.

In January the UK said Moscow was plotting to install a pro-Moscow figure to lead Ukraine's government.

The Foreign Office named former Ukrainian MP Yevhen Murayev as a potential Kremlin candidate.

There was a press release prepared, apparently rather prematurely and has now been withdrawn.

We will have lots of stored war stock that is nearing the end of its shelf life, so it would either get disposed or better to send it to Ukraine where it can be used.

Well that makes sense and they are making very good use of them.

I looked it up and yes, as well as that democracy, individual liberty and upholding the rule of law. Apparently Biden himself had warned years ago they needed to reform their widespread corruption.

It remains to be seen but I would have thought the current scenario increases Ukranian resolve to join NATO.

What, like Hunter's? I suppose he has first hand knowledge 😆

Every day Putin has troops in battle costs him a fortune, he wanted a quick victory, he isn't getting it and will become more and more desperate. He is being made to look a fool on the world stage, his troops are supposed to be the best and they are being stopped by an army who he has dismissed in the past.
The longer he fights the more supplies he has to move and Ukraine have been hitting his supply lines, putin is hurt.

15 billion dollars a day, I have heard quoted.

Yes you have, but I will call a halt to the junior debate. There are people dying, which is far more important.

Too be fair, you asked the silly question, Gordon, out of the context of this thread.

Need to find a way of slowing that down somehow or blocking the route in.. a 40mile long convoy is insane and is pretty much a death squad intent on eradicating Kyiv of everything and everyone.

The Ukrainians are condcting what they are calling the Úkrainian Safari; civilians are taking down all of the roads, so the Russian forces cannot use them to find there way around.

From a Ukrainian work colleague.

I did, Gordon. It was obvious he wasn't talking about his home in the context of your question.

You need to read carefully. Obviously you don't. You might say it was obvious, but it wasn't what he posted.

Oh, come on Gordon, given what this thread is about, you're either being a pedant or just baiting for an arguement; neither is good form.

Think they need to look to destroy roads and make them impassable like they would bridges
