With all the cold weather, I had expected/hoped for an upturn in post numbers.

It would be good to have some pictures of your awful tattoos and possibly someone to try to take Burnley Dave's place in PW history!

Replacing Burnley Dave would be harder than getting a dentist appointment without having a dentist , getting a item delivered on time , catching a train that is going nowhere or getting a minor operation done within the next few years .

I would post a bit more but at present I am glued to the other sales while waiting for a few boxes of cartridges coming up for sale , how strange is it when I go and make a cuppa I have missed the boat again by a short head by YOU know who.

All the best     MM

Morning John,

I just cannot understand TC not going for them. That last bargain lot of cartridges was only a round trip of 5 hours for him:whistling:

I’ve not been busy on any forums this year. Been out and about more away from shooting.
on the odd occasion I’d log on nothing much was happening.

A lot of the old knowledgeable members who would write about great days out or past days no longer post.

My last days out were on the crows at the beginning  of November.. but I can't uploads photos anymore on here ??? So my posts aren't as good as they were .

Also I've no rape fields again for the 4 th year in a row  so winter shooting for me tends to be either squirrel shooting the woods or testing either new pellets or cartridges .

But with the looming ban on lead that seems rather pointless. As I won't be shooting lead free pellets .

We need a cold snap to push the pigeons onto the rape. Well that's what I keep hearing.

Well those hardy folk who have been waiting for a cold snap then there prayers have been answered , as for Pigeons on the rape? , will report back when I see some in the early part of 2023

I’m actually going through a midlife crisis and currently selling all my stuff off to build a hunting camp.  I am very excited about this project and I am spending all my time working overtime and cutting trees.  My parents bought a nice place at the beach so I sold my fishing shack, because why stay in my crappy place when my parents have a nice place. I then tore down my old cabin in the mountains  and going to use the Money from the beach sale to fund a nice hunting camp/ place to store gun and ATVs. I am researching kits now but I’m leaning towards this one in all black ( black roof, black siding, black windows)  and the carport enclosed and enlarged.8562863C-6C16-4DB1-A4BD-702054081C9A.jpeg.d58fe7d086a1b3e7934659696add0146.jpeg0545A013-020E-4902-BC6C-81C58FF39658.jpeg.66647356f785b2083c7c5d6552cbd40b.jpeg  The hunting camp will be 1600sqft with an equal 1600 sqft garage and the Garage doors will open up not towards the driveway but towards my 200 yard range. Everything will be handy-cap accessible as I plan on retiring eventually and selling my house in the city.  I am working on the driveway now and I got about 1/4 miles left.   I already cleared a small soybean field for deer and  started a pond (keeps filling with water so i probably would have waited until the non rainy season).  I also plan on a 5-10 acre dove field down the road.  Basically instead of a sport car for my midlife crisis I’m building myself  a weekend getaway from the wife.
the pond is about 1/5 of the way done C40837F1-DE06-470C-B8F7-F5C7B9E8BF4A.jpeg.4c947a36a8c166d78632f22d39996fad.jpegC6196079-E192-4C72-A28A-D438F24898BF.jpeg.8c8b2754f453941d7d09c59a2de5ad37.jpeg

I wish you would stop posting things like this, you are making me and I presume a lot of others jealous. :)

Midlife crisis or not, what you are doing looks pretty good to me. :good:

I am actually quite surprised it is coming together as well as it. I want away from Charlotte as soon as possible but unfortunately I chose a career that I can’t work remotely.  I’m 38 now so got 17 years until I can draw my retirement but the day I turn 55 I’m setting my city house on fire and heading to the mountains.  I just want to get down to one property to take care of, one vehicle, one set of taxes.

You have got your path in life well sorted and believe you me those next 17 years will fly by and you will wonder where the time have gone , GOOD LUCK with your project and hopefully some members on the forum who are still about will a invite to the grand opening , if I am still here I will be 92 so I will no doubt  be watching the world go by with my slippers on , yes I have got a new pair but I am to young to start wearing them just yet :drinks:
