It’s definitely not Barry Chuckle 👀

I can see why organisations are cautious to release names and details, we are in a world and time of guilty until proven innocent, and trial by media.

The person named should be placed on leave, whilst a full and thorough investigation involving the Police and other agencies is undertaken.

Yet I feel the good old beeb are fast enough to name names on the flimsiest allegation when it is a tory suspect whilst moving heaven and earth to cover up others.

You’re right there, they don’t allow the same respect to the people who’s lives their ruin to make ratings!

Bill-hooks.

They would gleefully be reporting these things, including naming names, if it was any outside organisation.

As things stand, the BBC have created a situation where people are forced to deny it's them, leaving a sort of 'Guess Who' situation.  Terrible management.  The MoD press dept did a similar thing to Dr David Kelly, incidentally.

In any case, the presenter in question hasn't denied soliciting pictures of a young male, in return for money to feed his drug-habit.  That kind of conduct should be instant summary dismissal, no need for 'placing them on leave', escort off the premises by security immediately, pass file to police.

Instead of which its taken 2 months of inaction and his poor mother having to resort to going to the press.  We all know the Beeb's bizarre obsession with protecting top talent at any cost.  Had this been a lower ranking employee, their feet wouldn't touch the floor.

And, disappointingly for anyone still hoping its Packham or Linekar, sadly it's not.

The confusion seems to stem from the fact that no one as yet knows if any laws have been broken, and as I said to my OH, if this had been me back when I was younger, I’d have sent him pictures for half the price! Much better  rate of pay than MY first job. 👍

Beeb being the Beeb.

For a fleeting moment, when I heard about this yesterday, I did hope.

Is this not reason enough, whether any laws have been broken or not?
