CaptC
If any of you subscribe to Scribehound you will have seen one of this weeks articles about shooting in October. Study the picture and spot how many Guns have their shotguns either closed or pointing dangerously - especially the Gun third from the right! old'un
Obviously the production team did little research before making the film, mind you I have been on a few shoots where you needed to watch your back. Not seen it but I always wonder when making films like this how they get on with actors using, what I presume are real shotguns.
claydodger
Was there a production team or director, the two on the the left look like terrorists, the little guy at the back can't act, the fat guy in red looks very dangerous, the other guy at the back with the grimace looks like he's trapped something, as for the other two they look as though they are away with the fairies. Bad show alltogether.

wymberley
Surely - one would hope - this is a deliberately posed NOT how to do it photo. Edited October 20 by wymberley
Miserableolgit
I saw that on Scribehound and winced but fell asleep halfway through the article. Will read it fully and determine the context.

Dog-Fart
Looks like a Guy Ritchie production
Scully
Is it not a tongue in cheek spoof? The two in the middle are the actors David Tennant and on his left Danny Dyer.
marsh man
Not a cartridge bag between them , no dogs in sight and never seen a team of guns that all had cartridge belts and no guns sleeved when walking from A to B , surely actors and not very good publicity . Maybe a walk and stand day as the five chaps behind them seem to all have guns , that would make it at least 12 , 9 on pegs maybe , but I have never seen 12 on a stand . PeterHenry
It's from a tv show called 'Rivals'
Scully
It’s a Disney production called ‘Rivals’, and is I think, based on a Jilly Cooper novel about the horse and hound set. PH beat me to it. Stand down gentlemen, it’s not real. 🙂 Edited October 20 by Scully

As been said, not a real shooting party but a scene from the Jilly Cooper novel 'Rivals' although it still does not paint a good image of shooting to the general public, I do wish the production team would do a bit of research before portraying things like this. oldypigeonpopper
Hello, Maybe Disney should stick to Cartoons 😄
London Best
It is a typical film/TV portrayal of a shooting party. About as real life as Countryfool.

enfieldspares
There's some folk were doing it back in the day from when breechloading guns were first invented. But that's when it wasn't on film for fiction. Which this is. As others have said "Rivals". Edited October 20 by enfieldspares
