My thinking was , if it was a week day , I'd be at work , and it would just be business as usual ( ive worked in these weather conditions a few times over the years) , but now that I'm sitting in a caravan, being buffeted by 90mph winds , I'm thinking I might have been better to have stayed at home 😄. I'm impressed ( totally shocked), that the new corrugated tin roof is still on , but I really don't think that it can take much more. To be honest , we both enjoy a bit of an adventure 😁. Hello, Sounds like a good adventure together despite the weather 👍
Sussexboy
The wind is picking up a bit again here in Sussex, along with horizontal rain. I was meant to be out on the shoot today, but laying here on the bed thinking that a gout flare up does have its upside! Waiting for the colchicine to start working. claydodger
12 minutes ago, Keith RW said: Absolutely flat calm here in Rotherham, not joking, bit of damp but no wind and no rain despite forecast saying gusts and 70% to 80% chance of rain. one of todays local shoots cancelled due to forecast but looks like it could have gone ahead, I suspect it may work its way over this side of the country later in the day Same here in Sheffield, flat calm but wet, wish I had gone shooting now, but Iv'e still got to go out and repair the shed roof from earlier in the week, definitely wish I'd gone shooting now 😣

The wind has dropped right down now , and I've just been out to check the corrugated caravan roof that I fitted , I'm absolutely amazed to say that it's still in perfect condition. Looking on the bright side . I've now got enough windblown firewood to last about 75 years 😄 Edited December 7 by mel b3

I'm not sure that it would be financially viable mate. It's only a 10ft caravan , so I could probably only fit about thirty of them in here, then they'd be wanting food and everything 🙄. welsh1
Still blowing a bit of a gale here, this morning the garden chairs and the small bbq were scattered round the garden, a couple of brackets have snapped on our guttering above the conservatory so that will be a pain to replace, and 20 foot of our lap fence is leaning at a strange angle, hoping it will hang on then it will be a couple of new posts instead of a new fence. Not sure about that, I drove home down the M6 last night, Cumbria was bad, high winds and rain with bits of flooding. Very windy and wet over night, cancelled rugby training for this morning but it's eased off now as forecast.

marsh man
Well apart from it being a miserable ole day if we hadn't been bombarded with weather warnings it would had been a fairy normal Winters day , the wind have died down but sadly it is still raining , never mind , it's nice and comfortable in mine so I will put the kittle on again and then take my dog out before it get dark , it certainly haven't caused any problems around these parts .
