norfolk dumpling
Don't give up hope - we have been through a horrible few months having been told our disabled son had only months to live by 2 consultants and another specialist only to discover yesterday that following extensive tests at Addenbrookes, Cambridgeshire there are now no signs of the melanoma. He had tumour and lymph nodes removed in November which it seems, for now at least (we will have CT scans every 3 months now) has given him/us remission. After an absolutely muck heap of a Christmas we are going to have at least an optimistic new year. I have a rather serious hangover this morning. Good luck and do not give up hope. bruno22rf
There's over a million words in our language, mikky, but I doubt that any of them will make things any easier for you-all you can do is be there for her and pray that she is not in any pain. My absolute best wishes are with you both.
Jaymo
Mikky Like most, we don't personally know you, but we ALL feel for you. Can't give any specific advice, was a lot younger when I lost my big sis but all I can say is make the most of everything in life- not just now with this but with everything. How many times do we say "I wish I had done that" , this proves we really should. Good luck and mine and my families thoughts Jay

chacotawas
I'm very sorry to hear your sad news, mikky. I've been where you are and all I can say is that you need to be strong, even at times a wee bit tough with yourself, if you're going to be a help to her. She's depending on you so you need to be able to keep your grief under control in order to be that help. I know that sometimes I had to make myself downright hard in order to cope. Every good wish. pontbeck
My wife's cousin is in the same situation as your sister. We've been very close as a family and feel frustrated we can't help more but we see each other very regularly and that seems to help. Keep strong and be there for her as I'm sure you will
