Rewulf
Its about time, they have been out of control for years. Ever since some bright spark decided to give them a racial minority status. A friend of mine, who is from traveller stock, but has lived in a house for 25 years, reacted with glee to this , 'You cant say nuttin to me now, Ill have you up for racial discrimination ! ' It was funny, because he had about 10 goes at saying 'discrimination' ?
walshie
Depends what the new laws are concerning trespassing. You have to be law abiding for laws to apply to you.

Gordon R
I would welcome any law which made them subject to the same laws as you or I. Unless they commit a very serious offence, they seem to be beyond the law of the land. Turning up, camping on someone's land, trashing it and leaving behind a mess should be a criminal offence. A few days ago, there was a report of a public park having to be closed off, owing to the council cleaning up mounds of human excrement, after travellers were 'evicted' from there. Longstrider
Am yet to see a 'traveller' camp that couldn't be greatly improved with a Cat D10. Law should allow a landowner to use such to clear his own land of 'abandoned vehicles and trailers' if he so wished.
pegasus bridge
Good, I always remain optimistic that They’re not all the same law breaking types- but I’m still looking. They dug the gate up to the village cricket pitch and rolled in, brought a wave of crime and antisocial behaviour and left after being evicted leaving tree cuttings , piles of excrement and other rubbish. They should be just subject to the law like the rest of us.

The 'law' just chooses to tip toe around them in case someone gets offended by their 'mistreatment' Ive lost count of the amount of times I or others have witnessed them commit a serious crime, the police are called, and they will not attend. Or its days later when they do ,and all evidence has been removed. These new proposals are about trespassing, and at least thats something, something for the bleeding heart liberals to get their teeth into ! Its time they got treated the same way as everyone else, then it doesnt matter whos good or bad does it ?

The police sat outside our local coop as they walked in, opened food and drink and consumed it then walked back out ! It’s a joke and a total **** take for tax payers picking up the tab (and the excrement )

Ive seen some things in my time, but one that refuses to leave my mind, is a traveller 'gentleman' walking across a yard they had taken over near me, he dropped his trousers, defecated , and pulled them back up in the space of about 2 seconds, barely broke his stride !! Broad daylight, full view of everyone, smack bang in the middle of the yard full of trailers, WHY ?

Broad daylight, full view of everyone, smack bang in the middle of the yard full of trailers, WHY ? I had a factory unit in Cradley Heath (Black Country) empty. It was 5000 sqft and every inch had been used as a toilet. I had to pay for specialist cleaners to come and clean the unit and then have it repainted. Best of it was there was a toilet in there. harrycatcat1
My wife has just informed me that "they" have just parked loads of caravans and vans on the cricket pitch at the Queens Park in Chesterfield where Derbyshire play. The world has gone mad.

yod dropper
The leader of Walsall council has been made to apologise after his comments about lawlessness. We know he's broadly right but you can't really say what's true anymore without getting into trouble.

Pigeon Shredder.
Free speech will never reign in this country because if you do your a racist and a biggot, look at the way they are trying too hang Boris out to dry, and don't get me started on our travelling friends we have them by the shed load at moment. They only prosper because people give into them, if they are turned away because you don't want your trees cut, your driveway tarmaced, your roof repaired or any other nonsense they won't stay around, as soon as you hear the accent shut the door, walk away and if they persist call plod, he may turn up but don't bet on it. Next.
Scully
The public toilet is nothing new; at last new fair a woman I know was in a car with a friend trying to negotiate a route through travellers, when one of them dropped his keks and took a dump right there on the side of the road! Unsurprisingly, no one has been arrested for the beating up of a local man after he accidentally bumped into a gypsy infant which had run into the road. Apparently, it was discovered that the vest camera worn by the officer who attended, wasn’t working. ? fern01
The way to police them is to check all their vehicles for tax, insurance, VIN engine number and type of diesel in the tank. Tow any suspect trailer and vehicles away Arrest and DNA test and record them all until checks for previous have been carried out . They would soon learn to keep their heads down. Sometimes I wish I lived in a country where the existing laws were applied. If the Police are too scared of them use the Army.

Westward
Just the fact that we have to call them 'Travellers' makes my toes curl. Names such as Gyppos, P1keys, Diddicoys etc are all fine by me. My dad was born in 1915 in Stepney in the East End and I remember him telling me that the Diddicoys didn't stop round those parts because years ago they'd learned the hard way what would happen if they did. In those days you just didn't mess with East End cockneys. Anyway, since most of them seem to be Irish, why are they here when there's lots more room in Ireland? Kalahari
They left Ireland because the Republic of Ireland reall tightened up on the law and enforcement. David.
PPP
Because the Irish aren’t a load of pansy soft touch liberals like us and hoofed the xxxxs out We have to put up with it because of Jemima and Rupert’s guilt... A long time ago I used to live near Brands Hatch, some turned up there and were quickly advised to jog on... some interesting people living in Westkingsdown at the time...
