Everytime I hear him talk I just wonder how much more that workers will be taxed, there's no way he can implement his promises without taxing us more, companies who already play the tax avoidance game are just going to keep doing it and there's only the workers left to pick up the tab

Dividend tax already proposed - isn’t it company has to pay 10% of profit as dividends to empoyees  capped at £500 each - with the rest going to the government?

More complex tax rules - they should just come out and rewrite the tax book instead of the huge bloody thing we have atm.

Re-nationalise the railways.   If I re-call correctly the nationalised railway was a joke from their sandwiches to their time table.

Its a joke if they want to stay in the EU , as a monopoly ( like a nationalised rail system would be ) is not legal under EU law.

Although they keep rattling on about this, and there is public support ( but then there would be, because virtually anything is better than the expensive, shoddy mess we have now) putting it into practice would be fairly challenging, and ridiculously expensive, for quite possibly, no benefit whatsoever, it could easily end up worse !
But hey, it appeals to regular rail passengers doesnt it, so promise them whatever it takes 😃

The man is not a full shilling. His "Six points" are unattainable - they are not possible no matter who is negotiating. All this talk of a General Election, so that Jezzer (the terrorists' friend) can negotiate himself, is beyond silly.

Interviewed today, he couldn't remember what the six points were.

Di Abbott is in good company.

It's all Corbyn has ever done in his sorry life. From student activist to Party "Leader" his mission has been relentless negativity and criticism. Much like the rest of the career politicians he has zero experience of either life for normal people or leadership. He's even managed to achieve the amazing feat of displaying more bumbling ineptitude than Theresa May.

I am sorry to say that Jeremy was initially educated here in Newport Shropshire .

Check him out , he has always been inept at everything he does , lots of evidence of his loony leanings and YOU want him to run the Country ?

No, I want him to remain as the Opposition Leader and keep them out of power!:good:

What if you dont want one?

In a Socialist state, what you want is immaterial, it's what the State wants that matters.

We all criticise and ridicule, but sadly (and quite incredibly in my view) sufficient people believe him - to make it a very real risk that he could get into power.

Just look at Venezuela - could be like looking into the future, but we will be worse of - as we don't have the worlds largest oil reserves. (Yes, it is true they have more even than Saudi Arabia)

It's a cyclical thing, look up Denis Healey on Wikiquote. There's nothing new coming out of Corbyn etc., it's just that the there's a whole new generation around who've never had to watch the country being eviscerated by the bonkers lefties.

Ultimately and regardless of how they dress it up, it's all about taking away from the producers (i.e. greedy capitalists in loonyspeak) who've created wealth and giving to the non-producers (i.e. honest working folk in loonyspeak) who can't be bothered to improve their own situation.

What they always miss is that most of the better off in society are in that position because they're a lot smarter than the loony left who currently steer the Labour ship and will always find ways to defeat whatever extreme measures the Labour nutjobs try to implement. It's always the medium earners rather than the rich who end up getting shredded by Labour chancellors and since they're often floating voters, Labour's own failing policies always guarantee that the tories will return to power.

Who knows with brexit & this lot of clowns running the country we could be the next Venezuela, 10yrs on from the financial crash America is booming & we have got no where if we go back into recession anytime soon we are going to be bankrupt they will not be able to cut interest rates as they near zero now. Even Nigel Lawson has applied for French residency talk about rats fleeing a sinking ship.

This^^^^

As I have posted on here several times, I am perhaps the only member of this forum to actually have had personal contact with Corbyn. He was my MP for quite a few years and I have to say the man is bone idle. He doesn't like meeting or mixing with the people he is paid to represent. He has this rather distant, looking down his nose at you attitude. As an MP he might as well have been the invisible man, you never saw him out and about, visiting schools, OAP clubs, presenting prizes at sports days etc. In fact you never saw him full stop.

My impression was he used his MP's salary to fund his own projects and never had any commitment or interest in the Parliamentary process. He appears to have opposed everything his own party was trying to promote.

If you think about that rationally that's kind of creepy! I mean the "everything" part. You have to wonder. Is he just a rather two dimensional Mr Negative with nothing positive to offer except the 70s style Communist mantras he learned by rote as a student activist?
