I do wonder when all those who believe we should just keep taking all and sundry in will finally say this tiny island is full.

Its a world problem, vast numbers of people in the poorest parts of the world aspire to a better life in the richest countries.

Its not going to just stop happening, The world population is set to just keep on growing and growing

According to this it is not illegal to come in dinghies but will be with the new laws being introduced

Good news but I bet the human rights lawyers will be waiting on the beaches,

Certainly its one of the root causes but the internet is another, it tells people how to go about getting here.

All the internet tells me is that for 60 years I have been using the wrong chokes, shot size, type of gun and the wrong colour cartridges so I cannot possibly be hitting anything so I must have imagined it all!

There is a serious point beneath your humour though. One it is hard to disagree with. 👍

Maybe but it does not mean that the west has to home the rest of the world.a lot of these so called poor countries would not be so if they did not have such a liking for war and some of their barbaric religious rules.the west is richer largely due to capitalism maybe they should try it.

Yes and our legal aid paymasters alongside them to fund it.

The pressure will get more and more. Look what is happening at the Mexican border at the moment. These people are not going to shrug their shoulders and go back home.

Same on the borders of Belarus.

I don't know what the answer is, trouble is neither do the politicians

It's simple, send them drop them straight back, we're an island, it really isn't that hard, Australia has already proved this.

We can't send them back because france wont take them back. Its Macron and his cronies playing silly games.

If they had half a brain the French would realise that if we returned them every time eventually the message would sink in and people would stop coming to Calais to try and get across. The camps would empty and both sides would be better off eventually.

We just do it. If we can't trust the French not to allow people to illegally cross our border we do it for them. What would they do, go to war over it?

Anybody gullible enough to think Gendarmes don't see dinghies being transported or carried to a beach is living in cloud cuckoo land. Its so obvious to them not wearing blinkers that the French are not only turning a blind eye but very likely in deep deep collusion with so called smugglers.

News coming through it seems that the french fishing boats have all been granted licenses now after the british authorities pulled out all the stops to help.in other words bent over and asked macron how deep would he like to go.

Time for a different party. Tories and Labour virtually the same now, its getting hard to see where the blue starts and the red ends.

Hopefully a mutual back scratching exercise that gets the French to effectively stop the dinghies - or allow migrant returns.

So much for Boris being like a modern Churchill. How did it go again "we'll welcome them on the beaches"?

They won't do that even if that was the deal. They'd simply take their permits and carry on sending them.
