Marki
As an all rounder I've found my old CBR600 hard to beat. Quick reliable and, with decent tyres, rides like it's on rails. I like my Speedmaster for tootling along.

timps
Best MX bike 1989 Honda CR 250 as I won plenty with it. Best trail bike Honda MTX 200 just so much fun. Best road bike 1992 Honda CBR 600, I raced one, rode one on the road and toured Europe on one. Had a soft spot for the early Fireblades, having said that I spent several months in Lincoln Hospital having my leg rebuilt after crashing one whilst racing it at Caldwell Park so it's this love and hate relationship that keeps it from being my best. WGD
K3 GSXR750, simply the best balanced bike I ever rode, and was fortunate enough to own.
Gordon R
Best off road - KTM SX 380. You couldn't buy a faster bike. They sold de-tuning kits for them. Road bike - toss up between a 350 Matchless - girder forks/rigid back end and a Yamaha TR1 1000 V twin.
