Scully
Wow....sad news indeed. He played a large role in my teenage musical years. 'Starman' was amongst my earliest record collection. Far too young to go.

Vince Green
I never liked his music but I have a lot of respect for the man, he was totally unique. Also, he did it his way and didn't care about what others thought or said.
welsh1
There's a starman waiting in the sky He'd like to come and meet us But he thinks he'd blow our minds There's a starman waiting in the sky He's told us not to blow it Cause he knows it's all worthwhile He told me: Let the children lose it Let the children use it Let all the children boogie Goodbye Mr Bowie, thank you for the music. Vince Green
Apparantly it has been whispered for years that he may be HIV positive. Certainly he has had health issues about which he has been extremely secretive. Sad if that was the case, he was a virtual recluse.

Gordon R
I liked much of his stuff - bought "Pin Ups" at the time - featuring Bowie on saxophone. Apart from the "Laughing Gnome" and some Tin Machine rubbish, he turned out a lot of class tunes - Sound and Vision, Life on Mars, Man who sold the World etc. A man ahead of his time.
