There's a starman waiting in the sky

He'd like to come and meet us

But he thinks he'd blow our minds

There's a starman waiting in the sky

He's told us not to blow it

Cause he knows it's all worthwhile

He told me:

Let the children lose it

Let the children use it

Let all the children boogie

Goodbye Mr Bowie, thank you for the music.

I liked much of his stuff - bought "Pin Ups" at the time - featuring Bowie on saxophone. Apart from the "Laughing Gnome" and some Tin Machine rubbish, he turned out a lot of class tunes - Sound and Vision, Life on Mars, Man who sold the World etc.

A man ahead of his time.
