Many Years Ago George Had a GREAT Day

looking through some old photos and come across this old photo the day was at a place called newtyle up near dundee the farm was john lymans part of the lundie estate if you go on google earth and look for the belmont arms in newtyle you will see a strip of trees about 10 meters wide going out in the middle of about 6 fields it was sown barley the time was i think 1987 coz that was the first double cab i imported from japan any way spyed them late one night but did not work on hit and run went about 8 am there was in the beggining 2 of us but john got sick of shooting was on about 2 hours picking up mind there was pigeons there in them days before the eyeties come and took over 3 times have gone over the 700 mark carts were rottwiel came in 400 boxes loose with 2 sleeves to the box still may have the boxes were white with sponge inside do i ever want to shoot that many again no thanks my head was ringing for a week happy days wot i would give to go back those 30 years cheers george

yes those were the days honestly you cud door knock and get a shot but not now but done it and got the teashirt as they say far better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all 30 years like yesterday time waits for no man wonder where the truck is now i think it got exported to africa honest boys happy days :lol::good::lol::good::lol::good:

thats why people i am not to keen on shooting decoys i have done so much shooting in my life i know you will say its pest control and rightly so cannot argue was on a field 3 times last week and shot over 400 of it once i get to about 100 i have had enough must be getting soft in my old days now flighting i will drive any where to do that the higher the better but nowt to daft thats when a woodpigeon comes into his own get a high bird going like stink miss him first and kill him jinking with the second i bet you remember that shot and thats what its all about they say i should write a book but honestly i dont think anyone would believe me away to bed now sweet dreams :good::good::good:


Respect George, as you say " got the T shirt" have you got any pictures of your rabbits fron the north??

He favoured an old matchlock 13-bore front stuffer, loaded with carpet tacks & square shot.

Yeah, yeah, yeah but what make of tack were they and where did he get them from?
