ShootingEgg
Just seen this on the good old beeb... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/video_and_audio/headlines/42056947/footage-shows-hunt-saboteur-being-hit-with-riding-crop Some idiot grabs hold of the horses reins and takes a beating off the rider. Lucky the horse was pretty bomb proof, could of ended alot worse for the idiot sab. But now looks like the police want witnesses, possibly to do the rider??? Gordon R
Looking at the footage, I think the rider was justified in her actions. A hooded man grabs hold of her horse and won't let go. Who knows what his intentions were? He was lucky she didn't just ride straight over him.
Wb123
Seems fair enough to want witnesses, the Sab clearly has been recklessly endangering the rider and evidence will be required to stuff them.
Penelope
Good girl.
Gordon R
I presume that sabs cover their faces to hide their identity. I think they are wise, as most normal people would be ashamed of their actions. However, do they ever consider the effect of being attacked by masked yobs? I suspect they are well aware and are quite smug about it. These are sick people.
keg
On some sites, they claim the wear masks because the hunts supporters do. Load of rubbish!
Mice!
She proper gave it to him and good on her, if a masked man grabbed me that would be my reaction beat the fatherless individual till they let go.

Hamster
He could have let go anytime he chose to, she clearly felt threatened and the law does allow appropriate defence against attackers.
TIGHTCHOKE
I doubt this will ever get to court but if it does she needs to maintain that she felt threatened and that her response was measured and appropriate.
panoma1
The anti was the attacker/aggressor, the rider was taking reasonable action to protect herself/the horse.....self defence....hopefully the police will identify the cowardly anti and prosecute it! scobydog
So he trespassed on private land with his face covered and grabbed her reins and startled the horse, good luck with that one, should get the book thrown at him. evolution380
Reasonable force imo, he could have been about to do anything she merely wanted him to back off, wasn't like she chased after him just beat him out of her vicinity until he let go of the horse. Genuinely looks like a girl I know who was on a hunt this weekend (same clothes and dark horse), i've messaged her for confirmation, buying her a pint if it was her. Walker570
It's a long time since I walked the beat, but in my day someone with face covered or blackened in such circumstances would have been arrested. I cannot for the life of me understand why this is allowed. ANTIFA in the USA are the same and nothing is done about it. Technically I would have thought this was an assault or at least behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace.

washerboy
Sadly out there somewhere is an idiot stick up for that anti and jumping to his/her defence ?.. that poor horse rider could have been taken from her horse and brutally attacked , hopefully the courts see sense and the poor rider isn’t charged with anything .
panoma1
I doubt any prosecutions will come out of this...I imagine either the police will not persue it further or if they do.....the CPS will deem it not in the public interest to prosecute? racing snake
Typical cowardly ****** going for a woman's horse. Well done her for the thrashing. Would have loved for the horse to be wearing a red ribbon in the tail, he'd still be out cold. ******
Mice!
what does the red ribbon mean? I'd have liked it had the horse been ex police it probably would have jumped on him
