I’m given the choice as a UK citizen, to vote for whomever to govern in the UK, and given the choice to vote against the same person or party if I’m not happy. I’m given neither when it comes to those council members of the EU who would govern over me. Why would I be happy in having someone whom I can neither elect nor unelect making decisions which can effect me and my way of life? That isn’t democracy; which part of that can’t you understand? Give me the option to vote and I’ll stop complaining.

I didn’t vote for the conservatives at the last election, but at least I had the option to vote. I lost but that’s fair enough because that’s how democracy works, a fact the remoaners appear to have overlooked.

I couldn’t vote when we joined the EEC, but I could vote when we had the choice to leave; the fact that those who think they know better are now trying to corrupt and overturn that democratic process only strengthens my opinion of the EU and those who in the face of the referendum outcome, would have us stay.

I feel its a very good point, for me and many who voted leave, the brexit issue has become a far bigger issue than even staying or leaving the EU, but one of whether we live in a free and democratic society, or not, we will find out soon enough!

I'm not sure I know anyone who voted remain? This is for many reasons, most people simply don't talk about it, their probably sick of hearing about it and just want it done and over. Probably also why its the same people who post on this thread, your four pages behind before you know it.

But most folk i work with or socialise with do what i call real jobs, and want out so we're in charge of our own futures, things might change but i honestly don't expect to notice.

I know one thing for sure after watching this shambles the hambones in Westminster can’t be trusted to run a bath let alone the country, I will never vote come election time ever again as long as I live.

It is a shame that you feel like this, but essentially they will have won. I would still go and vote out of principle, even if it is a protest vote for an independent or minor party and hope that enough people do the same to make them stand up and listen.

Agreed, deplete the vote count of the two main waster parties that put themselves above the people who trusted their lies. Makes no difference in my ward though, most of the locals are asians who vote for smarmy vaseline.

What’s the best unbiased app to keep abreast of all this?

I guess I'm not getting an answer because I'm not a paid up member of the clique. Or maybe this forum is how you all get your information?

You are not getting any answers because the thing you seek doesn't exist, there will always be bias to a certain degree. Even if you look for one from outside the UK or EU there will still be bias.

I agree every time that I see and hear those useless individuals in the commons I can hear  Duelling Banjos in the background.

The problem is getting an unbiased app from the establishment is extremely unlikely.

But for an external view try Zerohedge

Thanks Stonepark. Not for me.

Was hoping for something that filters out all the other depressing stuff. It looks like Sky or CNN is as good as anything else then.

I like Oliver North's blog. www.eureferendum.com  H'es less concerned with the politics than the real practicalities.

I might have added that the readers comments are worth browsing through too. They're not the usual tribal stuff.

I see that Gibraltar features again?

This seems to me to be the EU supporting Spain (one of their EU members) in their claim to Gibraltar, by slipping the word "colony" into the text............shows they will undermine the UK at every opportunity!

If they want to stay part of the UK? Gib did themselves no favours by voting 90% plus to remain in the EU! 🙄

I predict Spain will refuse to ratify any deal the U.K. Want unless we give them Gibraltar, and the French will do likewise unless we give them access to our fishing......who knows what other countries will try to blackmail the U.K. To get?

Not sure what you would expect? While Britain was in the EU, French boats had access to British waters. And by the same token, British companies in other fields had access to other EU countries' domestic markets such as in finance or banking or whatever. When we leave,  French fishermen will still want access to British waters and British companies will still want access to their erstwhile European markets. So there'll be a trade off probably. That's just how these things work.

I feel the exactly the same, and whoever got in power, then I couldn't moan about. But with with the likes of Jeremy Corvid standing, I feel that I would have to vote.

The EU will try to bully us into submission....they are already trying to! That's what I expected them to do! But placating a bully never pays off.....take em on, if they play fair with us, we should play fair with them....if they hurt us, we should hurt em back!

Undermining the U.K. With their intransigence over the Ireland issue and now undermining UK interests with Gibraltar, the EU are showing their true colours!.....the EU are quite prepared to damage their own members interests in order to punish the UK for leaving!......its up to the UK to make it as uncomfortable for them, as they are trying to do to us!
