Like i said its their job is it not? If these two were guilty and not picked up we'd all be slating the police for not doing there jobs! Ive been asked to go into the police after false accusations against me.. and guess what. Im not richer or poorer for it. But yeah crack on sue for ****s and giggles...

So next time you’re out shooting and a member of the public reports you as a suspected terrorist you’d be happy for the police to arrest you and your Mrs, park a load of police cars in your street, search your house and keep you locked up for 36 hours?

Seems to me the police lost all sense of proportion due to the eyes of the world being on them.

I would think the potentially serious nature of the offences were enough to ensure very thorough questioning.

Presumably a high priority in that “very thorough questioning” would be to check any claimed alibi, so that the hunt for the real perpetrators could be resumed without delay if the arrested person was actually at work at the time of the alleged offence.

I don’t recall reading that any other suspect had been arrested, or even questioned, during that 30 hour period.   Did I miss something?

Yes the man was given an alibi by his boss saying he was at work, but would the police have to verify that alibi. After all they've probably been given plenty of false alibi's over the years.

Another unknown factor in the case is no-one knows what was said to the police by the neighbour. Could he have worded things in a way that made the police convinced they had the right person. Could he have said something putting his alibi in doubt.

Still plenty of unanswered questions, especially 67 people seeing a drone that may not have been there.

I'm sure they would, but it shouldn't take 30 hours.  The article I read said both his boss and the owners of the property at which he was working confirmed it.  Also I imagine his phone location records would back that up, though that might take longer, and be less conclusive.

I think they have backtracked and there is now little doubt that it was there.  That story seems to have come from a rather (unwise) offhand comment that was taken too literally.

He was part of a 3 man team at work apparently.

If he was reported to the police is he the only one? His boss also flies drones, why not arrest him as well? Or is it because he was already know to the police when a neighbour reported him for flying his drone in the street 2 years ago.

As for the police saying it may have not existed, how can they make that claim when they have a crashed drone? The reporter should have  pushed him for clarification on this because it doesn’t appear to make sense.

How long have you been flying multicopters?

Motor failure in flight.. 🙄

About 6 years. Yes, he's tweaked it as he says in the video, a specialist job. Your average drone would drop out the sky, that's why he's had to hack this one so it doesn't. Certain flight is not possible, as he said lol. Ultimatley, you just proved me right lol.

DJI drones account for around 80 to 85% of those in civilian hands...As I said, it would drop out of the sky.

thats because they're quad copters, As I initially said anything with 6 or more motors can fly with a motor gone, I've done it many many times (props coming off etc), even with simple kk flight controllers that have no stabilisation or the like.

Admittedly a Y6 config will be difficult to fly with a motor out as you lose alot of yaw control and it'll rotate but having said that with a good pilot you can still get it back with some work.

Sussex Police are being asked to pass their investigation of this whole debacle to another Agency in the hope that someone can make sense of it all. Any suggestions as to who could have done a better job? Going to start with 1/ Mr Bean or 2/ The remaining Muppets that are not already working for Sussex Police.

The police seem to have evolved into a politically led organisation, which values those that fit their diversity (tokenism) agenda, have a degree level education, no common sense but are politically aware over proper thief takers! They only ever seem to catch those who are "grassed up" by others, or those their cameras catch, such as motorists speeding! Or those that are caught red handed!

They are fast losing any credibility with the public.....certainly their treatment of gun owners and gun licensing is seen by most of their "customers" as a disgraceful example of mendacity, deliberate delays and the police making up law to suit themselves, rather than enforcing it!

I see that Cressida "Richard" has today jumped on the political anti Brexit bandwagon by stating that the public will be more at risk from crime if we leave the EU....well I got news for her.....it's her job to keep the public safe, that is what she and her colleagues are paid to do! But because of her and her colleagues overarching politically correct agenda and because of it their lack of ability to properly protect the public, we are already at risk, and if her lot can't protect the people from criminals after Brexit.......the people may well feel compelled to protect themselves!

They said that the misunderstood comment about "there may never have been a drone in the first place" was based on the fact they had no CCTV evidence because all the security cameras are pointed at the ground not up into the sky. Surely in this day and with the terrorist threat around the world every inch of that airport should be monitored?

From first hand experience I can tell you FOD is a probleme at any airport... Here at gatwick I have picked up a dozen items from the odd nut and bolt to push chair wheels and that's this morning..
