I know it is an emotive subject but why do these so called lovers of the planet  and tree huggers want to cause all this disruption and affect others daily life. 

We all love our planet and I believe that the vast majority of us do our little bit. Industry has changed vastly in the last 60 years or more and is continuing to change but we know that it will take more time. What we all do now will make a small change but I dont see any way of doing things any quicker especially if USA, China and some other countries dont give a toss. These rent a mob crowd who glue themselves onto buildings  and chain themselves onto structures should be left out in the weather elements and dont give them the publicity that they demand with the vast cost to the public pocket.  Maybe turn a fire hose on a wide sprinkler setting and say the streets are being washed down. 

people go on about global warming but the planet has and still is evolving who knows we may even have another ice age in a millennium or two the planet survived the previous one.

People go on about it and very little is being done to address it. It will take time but this is a good way to speed up the process. Younger voters have the power for change.

It's probably not true to say China do not give a .... Look at 'Forest Cities' as an example. Also bus electric power pack exchange scheme. In many of the new technology areas China are leading the way.

Its also worth remembering that our ecconomy got cleaner because we off loaded much of our dirty industry to China and other places.

Im not saying they are going about things in the best way, but they have a point.

It’s the new CND. Instead of chaining themselves to the railings outside some nuclear sub base in Scotland,  they decide to obstruct everyone’s a day to day life. 
People like a campaign to get behind, especially one which puts them into confrontation with authority.
If I wasn’t a firearms owner I can think of many a cause I’d get involved in, or create, but I’m too busy getting on with my own life to interfere in that of others.

Made me chuckle on the news this morning, interview with 60 odd year old woman who travelled from Scarborough. Asked about her mode of transport and she said diesel car because I can't afford one of them electric cars they're to expensive.  Bloody idiots can't see the irony.

No one wants to harm the earth but at what cost to go green and no carbon footprint. The batteries in electric cars isn't green to make or the power the use to charge them.

 I agree something needs to be done ,but to me this isn't the answer instead why don't they pitch up at unilever  ,johnstone and johnstone ,Tesco ,Sainsburys  et al and start demanding the use or investment into bio degradable plastics ,these seem to be the big pollutants of our world at the moment if a relalivitily small company as Ely or Hull can do it with their eco wads im sure the big plastic producers/users can

The UK 'does more about it' than virtually any other European country ?

Vote labour in , they will have us carbon neutral in 10 years, mainly because there wont be many people left here, and they will be using horse and carts for transport.

One of the several aspects to all this that the climate hysterics are oblivious to is that climate change is not a recent phenomenon. It's also not changing very rapidly and history proves that it will not lead to the extinction of the human race. Basically, none of them has the first clue about the subject; they're just a bunch gossipers who don't seem to believe that things like gainful employment and taking financial responsibility for their dependants is something they should have to be bothered with.

The climate is cyclical on more than one timescale. Currently we are well past the mid point of the long term inter glacial period and each of the last 10 millennia has been cooler than the one before. Yes, another ice age is on the way in another 10,000 years or so. Right now we are reaching the zenith of a shorter term warming period which has been going on since the last cooling period ended. The climate has been much warmer in historical times than it is now and warmer too than the doom mongers claim will happen in this century. It's also been very much colder than it was 50 years ago. Look up "mini ice age".

Climate change happens; it's always happened, it always has and there's really nothing we can do to stop it. These goons would be more use to the future if they focussed on plastic waste and the other myriad ways we have of polluting the planet.

Some still do.

As I’ve said before, for eons most of the Earth was covered in ice. It was only the thawing of this ice which allowed Homo sapiens to migrate from Asia to the Americas. 
Once there it took them less than two thousand years to hunt and forage into extinction around 75% of all large mammals. 
Still, that’s progress for you. 👍

They invaded Smithfield Market to protest about the meat industry, but went to McDonalds for lunch. They are not the full shilling.

I think there should be jail time, massive fines, water cannon or riot police - just stop treating them as naughty children.

Many of them are just anarchists and frustrated commies/socialist worker/trot type activists, who just want to feel empowered, part of “the revolution” and disrupt and fight society......probably because some people have got more than they have....offer any of em £70,000 per annum to drive a smelly old diesel bus around, and many would snatch yer hand off!

If the price is right, selling out their grandmother, and the old song that goes “ the working class can kiss my *** I’ve got the foreman’s job at last” both come to mind!

Stick them all on busses, & take them to various courts, Dover, Manchester Etc., fine them & show them the door , walk home, phone mummy to come & collect them or let them use public transport to get home. take & crush a few vehicles.
