lampro
Agree to a point, but squirrels decimate red population the cray fish Carrie's a parasite that kills our native species but these tiny opinion should be left alone they have survived and adapted this long in the uk climate be it's time for a change. Come on the pheasant isn't a native species but only gets shot for sport and money, watched something regarding the pine martin increase is working towards the demise of the grey squirrel so nature is doing it's own thing. Have a shoot at a parakeet but not a national cull

Walker570
Grey squirrels also eat songbird eggs and young fledglings as well as damaging trees. These paras also destroy our native songbirds and also destroy orchards . The pine martin will never make a dent in greys. At least the long established pheasant and partridge provide a good meal and regardless of what the antis say do no noticeable damage to our native wildlife. Of course like the grey tree rat they have entered the protection of the uninformed luvvies in towns and cities and thrived there to spread out into the countryside. 49 minutes ago, lampro said: Agree to a point, but squirrels decimate red population the cray fish Carrie's a parasite that kills our native species but these tiny opinion should be left alone they have survived and adapted this long in the uk climate be it's time for a change. You have the same invitation Sir. it was only a fleeting glance but quite unlike anything else to my eye, If these aliens are left we know our natives will suffer the consequences of our neglect? Urban parks due to political luvvies seem to offer greys and parakeets safe havens to spread from. if an orchard owner neither would be welcome? Walker570
They appear pretty clever birds and like magpies/jackdaws may have the intelligence to climb out or even not to get caught initially. 3 hours ago, ClemFandango said: Is it possible to ladder trap parakeets?
