steve_b_wales
No doubt other's have witnessed the every increasing rise in the price of fuel. 16 days ago, my local ASDA fuel station were charging 112.7p/ltr of Diesel. It gradually increased by a penny or two a week and is now 123:7/ltr. Is this because there is less motorists using their vehicles because of lockdown restrictions? Shell /esso £131.9. Gone up around 15p a litre in the last month or so. No idea why. Supposed to be staying at home but there seems to be just as much on the road all day. old'un
Because crude oil as doubled in price, last March (2020) it was around $30 a barrel, its now $60-65 a barrel and likely to go higher.

old'un
Some pundits are predicting it could hit £1.50 to £1.70 per litre by the end of the year, crude as been on a steep climb this last three months….https://www.rigzone.com/news/commodity/
Centrepin
Perhaps my 16.5 mpg diesel papap wasn't such a good idea. Last time I filled either of mine it was 1.199 per litre but I've not been anywhere since mid February.

Spr1985
Over the last few weeks I’ve seen a large increase in traffic on the roads. I would therefore say a much higher demand, when demand goes up the prices usually follow suit. During the lockdowns demand will have dropped and prices again follow suit to increase the chance of selling the fuel. I would hazard a guess at the same can be said for crude oil. Just my perspective, I could of course be completely wrong

Boristhedog
I wonder if it’s because we’re all supposed to be driving electric cars within 20 years and the oil producers are all increasing prices so they can milk us for a much as possible in the meantime. countryman
Just been informed by my Electric company that there prices are going up as well, if this Electric push goes ahead I wonder what we will be paying by then, plus the Government duty on top. NoBodyImportant
Few weeks ago America started heavy bombing the Middle East again. A few days later gas in America went from $1.75 a gallon to $2.25.

Walker570
Just topped up my LPG and it had gone from 75 to 85p a litre, yet I stopped off on the A47 between petrborough and Leicester last week and it was 68p a litre. A garage near the M54 was always 10 or 12 p cheaper than anywhere else. One wonders why such a difference.
