Hello, do we get a refund of 40 million that we gave Macron to stop the migrants from crossing the channel, and doing more to jail the traffickers ? I can see the human rights lawyers rubbing their hands on the Rwanda scheme,

👍 they need to change the law to do it. Can you imagine the situation where a family is transported??? If its only for single males how will the segregation work.

Sooner this shambles of a government is out of here, the better.

Positive first step, I like most people here in the UK have no issue helping genuine refugees, but we can't start taking economic migrants or we'll be like a small lifeboat trying to rescue everyone from the titanic, we'd simply end up on the sea floor to.

I don't believe this legislation will work fully for a number of reasons, mostly because of our ridiculous human rights laws and the cost of processing through the system and legal fees, but it is a good start, if it actually is properly implemented. What we need is to send anyone arriving illegally straight back and then set up proper legal routes and funding for those genuinely fleeing war and persecution.

Why do you expect a migrant to follow the rules when the bloke in charge doesn't?

A new PM and cabinet would be a good start. Priti is clearly there to make up the numbers, the Donkey in charge has zero focus. There is a desperate need for a cross dept working team rather than just the HO.

Well given that most of the boats are packed with mostly young males putting them straight on a plane will suit most people,  whether it happens is quite another.

We expect the migrants to do as they are told, not enter the country illegally and eat as much cake on the flight as they like.

Oh please! 😀 It amounts to nothing more than a fixed penalty charge; it’s ridiculous! Starmer had a couple of pints with associates but he reckons that was ok. 🤷‍♂️
Yes, Boris has made himself look stupid; he’s let himself and many other people down, but he’s a politician. People nationwide were flaunting the rules on a daily basis; the suggestion that he should resign over a bit of cake and a couple of drinks in the workplace is beyond silliness!

The suggested legislation refers to single males and not entire families. How and if it will work is another question. The UK isn’t the first country that has gone down this route.

Can we really afford to take in migrants though ?  this covid has nearly ruined the country , The NHS  are now saying its going to take years after covid to recover , Fuel prices are going threw the roof same with all other prices , Only folk to get a desent pay rise is MP's Normal working  folk are seeing there retirement age raised if that keeps going will folk life long enough to retire at say 75 ? More folk are now dependant on food kitchens them ever

Surely these migrants should be returned and all money raised as tax;s etc in Britain should be used to help our own ?.

This is just another load of tosh to grab a headline and continue with the smoke and mirrors, like all the other of Priti Useless announcements, none of which have either been forthcoming, or made any difference.
Big day yesterday, 600 arrived, its nice and calm today as well.

The majority of those that voted for Brexit did so believing the illegal immigration would be ended.
I for one won't believe BJ again.

Now there is a funny thing!

We paid for more patrolling of the French beaches. They are doing that, nobody mentioned stopping the migrant boats according to the mayor of Calais

Actually, sending them to Rwanda would not be possible if we were still in the EU.
