SuperGoose75
I had a snoop around this interesting old building a few weeks back, as it was in the vicinity of a place we were spending the day. Does anyone want to have a guess as to what it was used for? I'll forward a couple more photos to give more clues as to what it was actually used for. I'd be really impressed if someone knew with just the image in this post.

JohnfromUK
3 minutes ago, London Best said: Mine? If it was yours, I assume you would know what it was! 🤣 It doesn't look tall enough to me for a beam engine house (which is what I assume you think it was at a mine head). The building also looks like it had a chimney (under the ivy) and beam engines usually had a separate boiler house. So - for me, not a beam engine house, but I haven't a clue otherwise. loriusgarrulus
Mine ventilation shaft or pump house. It would have had a chimney, but that could have fallen in. Edited September 7, 2022 by loriusgarrulus

SuperGoose75
A couple more very good guesses. I'll post another photo before posting the ones of the inside, which should reveal all. There is one feature that is a good clue on the building. The building is around 250yrs old.Aldi and Lidl are not as absurd as you may think 😉
