Penelope
On 13/12/2024 at 16:44, Scully said: Holding social services responsible is self defeating ( who would apply to join if they were made responsible for deaths? ) and cruelly misplaced; they already have to live with the fact they may have been able to save this child and there will be many sleepless nights as a result, no doubt. It’s time those responsible for the deaths of children in cases such as this, were made to suffer the consequences. As loathe as I am to allow the state such power, its way past the time these low life’s were euthanised instead of having their every basic need ( even protection ) catered to for the rest of their lives. I could sleep soundly quite happily ignoring the wagging fingers of those who would claim this is an act of revenge rather than justice, but taking away someone’s liberty and then catering to their every need isn’t my idea of justice. There are times when revenge is justice.

clangerman
it wouldn’t make a scrap of difference if we hung them the next child in danger is still going to die because those who FAILED are quietly sneaking away muttering lack of resources to hide the fact they ALL had a phone and not ONE of them used it to blow the whistle! Dougy
I found it difficult to hear what the 2 things did to that poor little girl, if i only had 1 wish it would be to give similar suffering for the remainder of the lives to each of the 2 that inflicted so much hurt to someone so undeserving. Sick pure SICK
Agriv8
Poor poor child how can anyone do that to any child let alone their own. The mother not taking a stand ( though it was a child to a different mother) or taking to the stand . The other kids left with both parents in jail. Lloyds 90 and other social workers are trying their best but sadly with parents like this out there ! Blimey that’s a tough gig ! Sick pure SICK I felt exactly the same way , I saw the news tonight and knew more or less what was coming with the details but when they showed you when he got called home because the little girl was unwell he then hit her with a iron bar and that was what killed her , to think of the pain she suffered make you feel chilled to the bone and wondered how many more are going through this evil without the outside world knowing about , some very sick and evil people out there somewhere . bostonmick Posted yesterday at 12:10 Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:10 childrens social services are totally inadequate in this country.their tales of under staffed or underfunding is nonsense any child that has signs of or is being reported to them for abuse should be given the maximum protection ie removed from the situation.all this keep the family together **** does is give the abusers time to continue their sick acts.then out comes the tired old statement we will learn lessons

It's all well and good saying remove any child with signs of abuse or reported, but what about parents falsely accused of abuse who are innocent having their child removed, or an accident prone child taken because they've bumped their head again. On the other side is not removing a child who is being abused and cases like poor Sara is the result. I blame the person committing the offence first and foremost, but it would appear in this case there were serious failures and if anyone was responsible for that, they should have the book thrown at them. oldypigeonpopper
Hello, Some of the horror stories we read about like the little girl or the lady burned to death in the USA makes me think how can human beings do such heinous crimes against another ?? !!!!
