SuperGoose75
I like all our "feathered friends" and as a Wildfowler I love watching all the Wildfowl and shorebirds. My favourite is the Green plover/lapwing/peewit or Black plover' Whatever you wish to call him i think he is a beautiful bird and I love hearing them and watching them Wheeling about on my local marsh on a Windy day. Blunderbuss
Loads but I have a soft spot for the starling. I'm a little ashamed to say they were my number one air rifle quarry when I was a kid, as they were in almost plague proportions in the fields and farms near where I lived. Sparrows were a close second, also big numbers then and fair game. It's amazing how the numbers of both have plummeted since then. My parents live in Nantwich, they still get spectacular evening murmurations right over the town on summer's evenings and I've been lucky enough to see a few close up. Spell binding. Bazooka Joe
Soft spot for all the British Finches, especially the Siskins, had a pet one in the house for years, they become very tame after a while. For song I think the Song Thrush & Blackbird takes some beating.

Me too shot more than I care to admit with my old airsporter....di used to feed them to the Ferrets though.. The Adult males iridescent plumage in full sun is spectacular of almost bird of paradise proportions.. Second on my list. I've been to the RSPB reserve at Otmoor many times to witness this in 2006/2007 and although its been posted up here before I believe its always worth another look. Whitebridges
Bearded Tit. Love to hear them "pinging" in the reeds. There are several places where we get to listen to Nightingales singing. They have a very special voice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INzqozVbYL8
