chrisjpainter
I've had a good lot for my 31 years. My one regret is I am not old enough to be in the Floyd years. Don't make 'em like they use to

four-wheel-drive
You have to feel sorry for young people today they think that rap is actually music but then as everything good have already been done all that they are left with are the dregs at the bottom of the barrel. 7daysinaweek
Come in here dear boy have a cigar your gonna go far! Without a doubt the most influential band of the era, the pioneers of progressive rock. Fantastic.
JDog
I have said it before on this forum, 'Comfortably Numb' does it for me especially when I have had two rather too strong Bloody Mary's like this evening.

Danger-Mouse
You have to feel sorry for young people today they think that rap is actually music but then as everything good have already been done all that they are left with are the dregs at the bottom of the barrel. lol that's no different an opinion than the older generation had when Elvis and rock and roll first popped up onto the music scene. There's some excellent rap/hip-hop music out there with great beats, excellent production and very clever lyrics. Although it's arguably quite old now, some of Eminem's work is arguably genius in the way he composes his ryhmes. Lose Yourself, for instance has some incredible rhyming sequences. It's far more complicated than most people ever realise. But it's fine if you don't like it. That's just personal taste. And there is some total carp out there too. However the same can be said of the music of the 60's, 70's or pretty much any decade. A bit of trivia for you though. Do you know the name of one of the first main stream bands to feature rapping in one of their singles? I'm pretty much willing to bet that you like/d them. You probably had a bit of a crush on the lead singer too! Answers on a postcard to . . . I am a big Floyd fan though, at least once you go past the seriously psychadelic stuff. wandringstar
floyd became the band they are when Gilmour took over from barratt, I cant stand that early stuff, see Emily play etc. Gilmour, waters, wright and mason had the chemistry. I love 'time' and 'fletcher memorial home'.
hoggysreels
Equalled at least, possibly bettered .. Amuzed to Death (Jeff Beck on lead) .. Gilmoour & Clapton rate as the best guitarist around .. but I agree, its debatable!
Wymondley
I'd have to say, Dark side of the moon, is the finest album ever made...by anyone. Followed by Wish you were here and Animals. Best listened to at top volume through quality headphones, whilst enjoying an aromatic cigarette. Oh to be young again.
Me matt
Never saw them, some of their tracks were ok, worked with a mate @ Nick Masons gaff years back- got a signed drumstick in the loft somewhere 😉 also sat in his F40 and gave it a dab in the throttle 😎 Proper nice bloke. He use to live on Hampstead Heath just down the road from boy George.
billytheghillie
Great song, but I prefer the version with Van Morrison Funny how different versions of some songs sound really good. Have you heard Metallicas version of Whiskey In The Jar? NO? May I suggest you search for it
