Man cave refurbishment.

When we bought this place almost three years ago this building was a dilapidated garden shed. I had a profiled and insulated steel roof put on to replace the asbestos one, created a ceiling with roof space above, insulated and boarded that space and built a dividing stud wall to separate a space with a work bench and storage from what would be my office space. Yes I know this is not like some man caves. How I would like one like Ditchman's, and the knowledge that goes with it but when it comes to practical issues I am not your man.

We were considering leaving these parts in the spring but we like the house and the area and I have found a few like-minded chums locally so we have reversed our decision and we will be staying put. In desperation when the building was completed I painted the walls gardenia of all things and I decided recently that that had to go. The work bench area was painted white with washable paint so that when I clean my gun and there is oil spray I can wipe it down. The office area is now Calke Green. This was a green discovered at Calke Abbey in Derbyshire and I thought it might look reasonably good in my office. It may be a bit strong for some people.

No wood burner but when the house was being done I ran an insulated pipe into the building from the main central heating system. The place is as warm as toast.

Before I saw the third photo , I honestly thought you had ran out of emulsion , if I was marking your handy work out of ten I would have marked you 9 / 10 for a very good effort , you would have got a full house if you had filled that crack up on the outside wall , or use longer pictures to cover it up . ,

How kind Marsh Man. Do I get the extra point if I tell you that there is no crack? What you can see is the FM radio aerial going up behind the pictures.
