AVB
Cold and rain in Essex/Herts. Yesterday we had a downpour and then the sun came out. The grass was actually steaming. Not seen that before. Pavements yes but not grass.
Scully
Cold wet and windy in Cumbria. Intermittent sunshine but mostly the above. Put on a smock with just a T-shirt underneath to walk the four miles to garage to pick up vehicle and was soaking with sweat when I got there! the hitman
Windy overnight with lashing rain, Wind is still here but rain has cleared with occasional bursts of brilliant sunshine. The North Sea here at Berwick-upon-Tweed is very angry this morning, compared to having looked more like the Mediterranean recently. JDog
We left the Wolds in a rain storm, walked a coastal path in bright sunshine, dropped 50 pigeons at the game dealer and returned home to more storms.

Looks like it’s going to be a good week to miss weather wise

Strange to see the beaches so quiet at this time of year.

Retsdon
Not so hot the last couple of days, it's fallen to the mid 40s. On Thursday it was 50+, and driving back from going to check out some fishing the outside temp reading in the truck was actually up to 52 for a bit. Even though it's bearable because the humidity is very low, it's pretty still pretty hostile weather to be outside for long in, especially if you're not very well covered. It looks like we'll have to go early and pack in the fishing before lunch.
grrclark
Was windy and wet overnight in Fife, last of the strong winds passed through by mid-morning, now glorious blue skies with the odd cloud. Absolutely roasting in the sunshine, but the northerly breeze Is cool. It’s turned into a lovely day which was all rather unexpected. It’s a lovely seaside walled town that is steeped in history- more pubs than most towns, and a few decent restaurants. The beaches are as good as you will find, in fact the whole of Northumberland is regarded as a hidden gem- there are worse places to live. We also have the only English football team playing in the Scottish league- good pub quiz question.

We have friends who have a holiday let just outside the town, and several friends to holiday in that coast, but can’t say I’ve been, apart from the week it took to erect the aforesaid house. My Dad and his twin brother were stationed there as part of their basic training in the 1940’s. We really should go.
