The 02 in Greenwich has had several thousands of pounds of improvements made by Eunice

Was only meant to last ten years anyway, wasn’t it?

did bump into a few rubber boats on the way past Dover lot of folks waving and shouting 🤔

Just wondering how a westerly breeze would get you to the Azores 😉

I’m going the long way around obviously trying not to fall off the edge of the world

I’ve heard it’s a long drop off of the edge. Personally I haven’t been able to fly quick enough or far enough to find see it for myself.
It must be there and the curvature of the earth that I see at altitude is purely distortion of the windshields

Obviously it’s flat or half the time you would be upside down and spill your tea 🤔😊

you should ask for a better quality windshield

Don’t need to worry about being upside down. As long as I can keep 1g positive then the tea will remain in the cup. They say the trick is rolling inverted and pulling at just the right transition point on the globe 😉

So far, these windshields have withstood some pretty big bird strikes.

Since when? Just asked the oracle ( wife) and she says Male too.

Has ‘they’  become part of the new society?

Next fact, if you are a regular flyer then maybe you have noticed that ‘Welcome aboard Ladies and Gentlemen’ is no longer used to fit in with the times!

does he walk on  the wild side (do, do-do-do do do, do-do-do do do)?

The storm's brought out the idiots with chainsaws down here. One woman posted on our village facebook group that her paddock was blocked by a massive tree and could anyone with a chainsaw help her. Half an hour later 'It's fine I've invested in a chainsaw, so can do it'.

I got there just as one of her 'helpers' was about to cut a limb in such a way as to smash his skull in when it fell. He happily asked me to take over, which I guess showed there was at least something worth saving in the skull.

What really annoyed me was the store that sold the woman the saw. No safety talk, no chainsaw PPE mentioned, no asking what it was for or if she knew what she was doing. Just 'here's a saw, and here's where you can give us money' RAH.

That’s some technical stuff to keep your tea in a cup

it will be far easier to just get a RED one 🤫😙

Went to a Burgess outlet near me for a chainsaw, they wouldn't sell without certificate. But You can still get them from.all other DIY shops and Amazon.

I don't know about others, but we seem to have a lot more damage and disruption from Storm Franklin than from Eunice.  Eunice brought one (small) tree down just down the road, and one (rotten and heavily ivy infested) tree up the road.

Franklin has (that I know of so far) brought down 2 trees, 1 wall, and caused one motor accident (details not know other than being a single vehicle and non fatal).  I suspect I will hear of more as reports come in.

It certainly sounds a lot worse here in Somerset. I have to drive down to the boat in Essex later ☹️.

50mph gusts here today. The worst its been. I was having the caping replaced on my roof today. I had a feeling they wouldn't be doing it after I had been outside to anchor the plastic greenhouse down a bit more with some slabs. No sooner had I got back in the house and the roofers rang to cancel and rearange.

all these TV reporters stupid

Not as stupid as my neighbours! The fashion amongst these (mostly octogenarians) is to put their bins out on a Sunday lunchtime. The bin men come after lunch on Monday. There was a storm last night, consequently every hedge row and field is covered in their recycling litter.
