Nice windowsΒ  .what timber did you use?Β  Idigbo?

Sapele πŸ‘.Β
idigbo is in short supply now plus it bleeds when painted . Sapele is around Β£1300 a cube so similar price tbh .Β
I used to like idigbo but the stuff dents so easy doesn’t it .Β
the original windows were idigbo I thinkΒ

nice job, and not knocking but was the spec for the same profile on all sides? only asking as it looks as though it could have done with a bigger section on the bottom rail as it is all buried behind the windowboard internally giving uneven sightlines.Β

more of a survey or spec issue, craftmanship looks spot onΒ πŸ‘Œ

I used 3” cills so loads of cill left but when I ripped the ****** out I notice they’d put 18mm on top of the 22mm window board . Luckily it finishes around 3-4mm below the ovlo mould πŸ˜ŽΒ πŸ‘. I was expecting plaster board on the arch too but it was only wet plaster of 3-5mm thick πŸ™ˆ.Β

The rounds still covered tho πŸ˜ƒ
