Run Over !!!!

At work on Tuesday AM whilst involved in a roadside recovery,

A dozy bint, not paying attention drove up the side of the bed of my truck dragging along the side of the car I was loading, taking me out and ripping off the drivers door, I ended up laying in the road next to my truck with a car door on top of me.

East Anglian ambulance service attend with road going ambulance, RRV, Air Ambulance landed and closed the road, Once stabilised I was transported to the 'Major Trauma' unit at Broomfield A&E where I received what can only be described as an exemplary std of care.

Home now feeling incredibly lucky not to have been killed or at least more seriously injured.

I've got various grazes & bruises and aches but only 1 broken leg.

I'll post some pics once I get work to mail them to me, But score 1 for the fat bloke as the girls Renault Clio was a right off.

Police are reporting her for Careless Driving and several vehicle defects found as a result of a Vehicle Examiners inspection.

Risky job recovery at times. Police told us that the life expectancy on the outside half of the hard shoulder on the M6 at Spaghetti was 2 minutes (could have been 3) unless a watch was kept. When I was doing hgv recovery it was the truck drivers job to stand well behind and watch, anything coming near the hard shoulder and he had to yell.

Hope you get well soon buddy :good:
