Walker570
They can only put regulations on NEW log burners. All historic fitments do not fall within the regulations. My Clearviews produce little or no smoke. Had a jackdaw nest recently and the chimney sweep could not believe how clean my chimney was(apart from the nest) when I told him the burner had been in for 15yrs. The one in our kitchen fitted 28yrs ago, a large version, produces about two handfuls of fine grey dust each year. Original airflow design and in my view still the best if not the cheapest. The Mighty Prawn
ours is only a few years old but A rated with seasoned wood or smokeless - I think you might struggle to buy a new one these days that isn't, just more nonsense to sell some papers

old man
No wood burners, no electricity, no gas when Vlad gets miffed?
WelshMike
Wood burners will be fine they will just come with a "Warning- do not burn combustible materials" notice. I only burn seasoned logs in mine but had one heck of a bonfire the other day outside...I am sure the bonfire tax will stop me doing that

countryman
Honestly the laws that get pushed through by the dim wits we elect beggars belief. We must be the most red tape restricting country in the world.
