Gordon R Posted Monday at 23:38 Report Share Posted Monday at 23:38 Just been reading through Trump's Executive Orders. I think the vast majority of Americans will be delighted.
Robden Posted Tuesday at 04:51 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 04:51 Is he demented?!? He talks of: Free speech, send troops to help protect the borders, and return illegals, put American people first, before giving money to other countries, stop the stupid electric car nonsense and net zero, and, AND only 2, yes TWO genders male and female....."Oi! Starmer. Take heed. The leader you'll never be,"

oldypigeonpopper Posted Tuesday at 09:44 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 09:44 Hello, Just waiting for the Starmer and Lammy meeting of President Trump, That should be interesting ??
old man Posted Tuesday at 10:13 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 10:13 Well, interesting times ahead? Not with standing the politics and rhetoric of his speech he at least acknowledged his country? Ours seem to forget about everything but access to the trough and giving away as much as possible to non contributors within 30 seconds of acceptance? No doubt ours thinking themselves on the same level have already insulted his status as POTUS?
12gauge82 Posted Tuesday at 11:41 Author Report Share Posted Tuesday at 11:41 I think anyone who voted for Labour or Conservative and not Reform who likes what Trump is currently planning on doing might want to reconsider where their X goes at our next general election. It's such a shame Farage isn't currently leading the UK, if Trump and Farage had been in power at the same time, I believe our economy and living standards would be taking a real upturn. Watching Trumps speach as he took power and his positivity for the USAs future and comparing that to Starmers doom and gloom as he took power and the subsequent mess that has happened since genuinely makes me sad. I haven't seen Starmer take charge of a single issue, he just gives statements using sound bites surrounded by word salad, a typical Lawyer. Compare him to Musk, Trump, or even Boris, they need very little of any notes or prompters to deliver powerful , passionate speeches. Starmer has the conviction, and passion of a wet lettuce, his tone lacks any sincerity or belief in what he utters. Its embarrassing. Trump however is an 'entrepreneurial' businessman, hence the positive attitude. Whether he can pull it off or not - we will see. I am watching and very interested to see what happens. Starmer as a lawyer and 'of the left' will not wish 'business' to benefit. he says he wants 'growth', but it isn't clear what he means by that as what he has done is to inhibit growth. All he seems to think of is growing state spending and state interference. That is not "Growrth' that will benefit anyone.

I think something that Trump will achieve is 'growth' for the USA. He understands what it means and why it's needed. But he needs to ensure it comes through better productivity, greater efficiency, less bureaucracy - rather than just importing more people. He understands that - but it won't be easy to achieve.
