Marccus
Any recommendations for a decent locking pocket knife with a budget of up to £35?

Mora knives are good. I use an Opinel #7 for gutting rabbits etc. If I lose it, it won't cost me an arm and a leg to replace it.

wymberley
Decent Locking Pocket Scroll down to Boker Lady and don't be fooled by the name. Mine is beside me and the Damascus takes a superb edge. http://www.moonrakerknives.co.uk/bokermagnumf.html Edited June 16, 2018 by wymberley
adzyvilla
I have a boker too, keeps a good edge.
tx4cabbie
Svord peasant and mini peasant - about 15-20 quid , totally legal if you forget its in your pocket, but totally secure in the hand, as a friction folder design. 5 mins sharpening, it'll be like a razor. Dunkield
For that sort of money you can start looking at Gerber and the like
wymberley
The OP may have to define "pocket knife" as we could well have a generation gap problem.
Ricko
Opinel, eight million French peasant farmers can't be wrong! Simple and efficient. I use the one with the carbon steel blade.

PPP
I’d suggest Boker too, the magnum range are great value for money and go very sharp
bigmcg
For non locking I have a Joker no 74, olive wood handle carbon steel blade, like a razor when sharpened think it was about £12 and uk legal carry, also have a svord peasant knife but prefer the Joker. My other non locking knife is an Arthur Wright sheepsfoot, rosewood scales, very sharp too.
fitzy
Have a look at the Byrd series of knives on Heinnie, Spyderco's budget range. The Meadowlark or cara cara within budget and well regarded.
spandit
Kabar Dozier Hunter. It's a lock knife, drop point, very lightweight and although it arrives fairly sharp, I got it sharper
Salop Matt
Opinel for rabbits. Everything else I love my EKA Swede No.8, it sharpens well and holds a great edge and is made very well.
rimfire4969
Just have a look at the greatest of the knife porn sites: https://www.heinnie.com/ You can't go wrong with Syderco, Boker, CRKT, Buck, EKA etc. or my favorite Fallkniven but don't think they will be in your price range. ChrisJ
I have had the same Opinel knife for 35 years, holds an edge really well, very well priced, and not heavy enough to wear a hole in your best trousers.
Harry Callahan
Bobby basic lambs foot knife for £6 with a proper Sheffield Steel blade. Can't be beaten.
Lloyd90
Is an Opinel 6 legal to carry? Its below the 3” blade but I can’t see if it locks or not
