Completely factual post, WOW 😳 😜

My inclination is that the figures from China are not as honest as they might have us believe.  Personally I don't think the Chinese would be sitting on a cure and saying nowt, they will lose out in a very big way if the rest of the world has a massive economic shock.

I do think that you are absolutely right that experimental treatments are more likely in China than in western economies, nobody ever sued the state in China.

There have been a number of press articles suggesting that virus outbreaks have been left to go unchecked in many parts of the country, most notably in the 're-education' camps for the Uighurs in Xinjiang.  As you say, who really knows what has gone on, or is still going on.

Lol and feeling somewhat vindicated about the Ibuprofen and Chloroquine posts too now both have been discussed on MSM.

I suspect the issues in the re-education districts are more than likely - possibly even drug testing zones.

That proves that alcohol is not the cure then

You are thinking of Jean Claude Juncker.  To be fair to Barnier (to who I wish a recovery) he has done his job for his employer well and largely without the snide and thoroughly unhelpful comments that have come from Donald Tusk, Emmanuel Macron, Leo Varadker, and particularly Guy Verhofstat etc.

I wouldn't put anything past China, they might not be reporting more cases, doesn't mean there not happening.

Same with Russia,  I'm sure they can really lock an area down when they want to, thousands of tourists won't be strolling through watching Football.

Quite. China will just be burying the dead in pits and you won’t know a thing about it.

Bank of England cuts interest rates again second time in a week, I fear now we are going to have a global recession with millions of job losses this is now serious, the rates now are near on zero & still markets are crashing.

I think it will be worse I am afraid. Depression not recession. As soon as they started closing things down economies and borders it became inevitable. Which is why it became a choice of protecting the vulnerable and sacrificing the rest. Unfortunately when everybody else has no money or job then the vulnerable will get sacrificed anyway.

Yes it's crazy, stock markets, currencies and gold all taking a hit. However money just doesn't disappear it has to go somewhere but no one seems to be putting it into anything .

I think these numbers are a bit out . This is today's figure. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ As for death rate v morbidity rate, from what I have read there are two factors that might explain the difference between countries. Firstly, the more tests you perform and the more cases you'll find. If you're only testing people needing hospitalization then naturally your death V infection rate will be higher than in a country that tests anyone with symptoms. The second factor is the quality of hospital care.  Even in the best quality health services, the system just gets overwhelmed. They found that to be the case in Wuhan. When the first wave hit, the initial death rate was high, but it dropped significantly after the two specialist hospitals were built and additional medical staff drafted in from other provinces. And ti seems to be the case in Italy now that they are getting to the point of not being able to cope.

Just been watching the news on tv and they had a report from an Italian hospital apart from the over crowding the thing that hit me was the number of frontline staff that were not using the PPE they did have correctly! One bloke had a face mask on correctly but he had a beard, and I would say 90 of the others just hadn't put the on right!
