four-wheel-drive
I must say that I do like the idea of hanging these people but if you look at it another way letting them rot in prison for the rest of there life is a much worst punishment than a quick death I have to say that I think the Americans do it rite not life just sentence them to 999 years then even if they only have to to 1/3 that is still over 300 years. inthedark
50 odd years in prison during most of which he was trying to kill himself because it was so bad. Plenty good enough, he should have another 50 to do and do it in that ubliette at Warwick castle
Danger-Mouse
Drove over Saddleworth moor the other day and was thinking about the bodies that are still out there. Can't help but agree with inthedark. If Brady hated prison so much I wish he'd lived to be a hundred years old.
Harnser
Brady was the most evil person i have ever had to be involved with . He was evil personified and was totally remorseless. I shall say no more ,only that I hope he is suffering . Harnser
Gordon R
A former colleague had first hand dealings with Brady and had the misfortune to have to sit in the same room as him. She was of the opinion that he loved his notoriety and was a truly sick individual. The World is a better place for his passing.
figgy
He should have been taken to someplace where torture is allowed and all the bodies they buried made to say where they could be found.
fern01
He should have been executed along with Hindley, after a few years on death row.

moose man
I think had he been housed in the general prison population instead of the special unit not only would any information have been recovered but his life would have been the living hell he truly deserved ..can't think a single tear from the world population will be spilt for this piece of trash , his body should be dumped on landfill for the rats and crows to pick over .. Sha Bu Le
I remember that period well, I would have been around 13/15 at the time. The discovery of the bodies of the victims, the trial and the tape recordings played to the jury of Lesley Anne Downey being murdered. Jeez that must have been horrendous for them, I think those jury members will never forget what they heard. Whatever punishment our civilised society could have meted out to those two would never have been enough for the terrible crimes they committed. So maybe locked up for life was the way to go, there were really no other options available mores the pity. Now that evil killer has joined Hindley in the pit will the families have closure? I sincerely doubt it. How could anyone ever put a lid on those terrible events. Best I can say is at least the state is now saving a fortune in keeping the slime ball locked up. Now his body should be quietly cremated, no one there but the crematorium staff and a couple of officials and the ashes flung into a landfill site with the rest of life's filth. As Steve B says "RIH" Brady (were there such a place) along with Hindley. Edited May 16, 2017 by Sha Bu Le
Red-dot
I used to date a Bonnie lass that was the Judges nanny at the time and she said the tapes visibly shook him badly.
White Rabbit
I remember watching a documentary many years ago featuring some of the parents. The mother of Lesley Ann Downey was broken. There's no other way of putting it. Imagine having to identify your little girls tortured and murdered body. Beyond belief. Having to sit there and listen to her being tortured on tape and screaming for her mum. Sometimes our society is too civilised. I don't believe he hated prison that much. It was just an excuse to moan and keep his pathetic little life in the public eye. I was allways lead to believe that coppers in those days were "proper" ones and got the job done? Surely a couple of the handier one's could have been left in a cell with him until he "remembered" where Keith Bennet was buried? It would have saved his mother a lifetime of pain searching for her sons body. WR. Edited May 16, 2017 by White Rabbit
bostonmick
I am afraid I am of the opinion he and his slut should have both been executed after the trial.this country has spent absolute millions on keeping both of them in relative comfort.the victims families have suffered all their lives and this must have been compounded by the knowledge that these two were alive and well.my guess is the support given to the families cost a fraction of the cost of keeping this vile pair.and now he is dead he is on every news reel and newspaper.still gaining the fame he craved.justice for the victims not the perpetrators of these crimes. db135
Good riddance save the tax payer have to feed and look after that **** bag Any child killers should be automatically tortured for two days then executed in the most horrific way possible
deadeye18
Glad he's dead buts it's such a shame he wasn't water boarded or slapped with a drain rod everyday till he fessed up to the victim locations .
Mungler
The distinguishing feature (apart from the involvement of a woman) was the level of sadism and complete lack of any remorse. I always thought that keeping these creatures alive was to enable Doctors to study them and the possibility of uncovering more about their crimes and victims. Are we made of our minds or our souls? Can someone be born evil or is it a manifestation of brain defect and or environment. Brady's the odd one because IIRC he was adopted but not subject to an abusive upbringing and he was intelligent. If there was a case for 'plain old evil' then he fits it.
