Vince Green
It proves that bribes an lies about the future of the NHS do work for Labour. How stupid people are to believe them The only thing that gives a certain satisfaction is that the SNP lost seats in Scotland. Cranfield
What a mess, with the combinations to form some sort of strong coalition not there, I suspect calling a new Election will be the outcome.

Twistedsanity
Hung Parliament What does this mean then? What's the options ... In practical terms It means that the conservatives can no longer force their will upon everyone else as they don't hold enough seats in parliament to outvote everyone else on their policies and also that theresa may has just slapped herself round the face by being cocky and destroyed the powerful position they held with her arrogance, everything they propose can now be challenged successfully

Nmb
interesting times in Scotland! Alex salmond and Angus Robertson were big hitters for the SNP and both gone! Walker570
As I feared. Either she was given very bad advice by remainers in the Tory party or she decided to cause this problem herself .... stranger things have happened. Top this off with the totally stupid declarations of cuts to benefits etc etc if they got in and this was going to be the result. The Labour party saw the chance and as they always do, made rash offers of free this and free that with money they do not have and the result is chaos. The garbage in the EU must be grinning so hard their heads could fall off. Paul Nuttall got shafted again by his own advisors. He didn't want to stand, but was pushed. The UKIP vote went to both Tory and Labour. Get ready for another one sometime in October. Edited June 9, 2017 by Walker570

iano
Can't believe that it comes down to NI. The DUP can bring the Tories over the line - but that is assuming that SF don't take the seats. Really means that Gerry Adams (and yes he still does run the party) has the power to bring down the British Government.
oldypigeonpopper
hello, our pm TM wanted a landslide but got a land slip, if she does not get us the best brexit we could go down a sink hole, but i can foresee labour doing everything to scuttle what the british people wanted, ye gods its going to be a bumpy ride
grrclark
May's campaign was utterly appalling, she didn't engage, she was evasive and arrogant and it was all about what other people were not instead of what she is. My fear is another GE within 9 months. Delighted to see such a strong Tory performance in Scotland and a significant drop in vote share for SNP. SNP will of course bang on that they still won the largest number of seats, but only the blinkered/stupid/fervent will actually celebrate that as an actual win. Mice!
Went to bed about half one thinking it didn't look good, should all be ok in the morning? Nope not at all. Said a few times that it always seemed to Corbyn on the telly, big turn out for the young who want labours promises of free university and higher minimum wage. Add to the mix the conspiracy theory of May upsetting old folk and the benefit brigade and its all gone very wrong. Same again in Autumn everyone....... Apparently there is still a big party going on at Diane Abbotts house

four-wheel-drive
I think what did it for May was down to the Terrorist attacks and the fact they it was her in charge of when the police was cut so badly 1000 firearms police lost and over 10.000 PCs gone people will put up with a lot but when they start getting killed they will not except it. I note that although the Conservatives got about 50 more MPs than Labour the number of people that voted for both parties was about the same much like UKIP last time 5mill people voted for them but they only ended up with one MP to represent them.
