scorpius
I have purchased a C/Z .22 l/r any advice please on the most effective moderator to suit this gun.
Lloyd90
Try the guns & equipment section mate Also I use a Parker Hale, nice small mod, lots of people use a SAK mod only about £30 for either of them, doesn't need anymore.
andrewluke
SAK would be perfect
bruno22rf
I have always used a Parker Hale cheapo - pretty sure it was made for an Airgun but with subs it's quieter than a mouse's botty burp.
wokkywokky
I use a sirocco mod. Works good enough for me. Mine is proofed not that on a 22lr it matters too much and the energy levels are not high enough to be a problem but at least I have the piece of mind that it is capable of handling the calibre it was intended for. It would be a disaster if a poor quality mod was to fail and cause your shot to go off course! You can't go wrong with the SAK, Parker Hale or Sciroccos. Zetter
SAK are pretty much bomb proof on the LR makes it as quiet as an air rifle and doesnt cost the earth. I have never seen the point of expensive mods on LR the round doesnt need it and the benefits are negligible if any.
welshwarrior
22lr doesn't need much I've tried most there's not much in it. I currently use a wildcat whisper which is expensive but offers nothing much over the SAK and PH at the lower end except it works great on my 22 hornet. clakk
Got a SAK on my air rifle but this is the crazy law it is for .22 air or .22lr go figure .On my Bsa air rifle no need for it to be on ticket BUT if i wanted it on .22LR it would have to be on FAC approved slot if that doesnt prove that the law on moderators is insane i dont know what does .The disclaimer comes with it new from SAK telling you its your responsibility
Harry Callahan
SAK does the job fine... I have an ASE Utra, which is very good. The weight isn't an issue - but cleaning it is a pain in the backside

Dougy
Sak, for £30 its very effective, more affective than most think. You hear more at your end than the rabbits do for sure, unless of course your aim is good.

Dekers
I think you may have noticed SAK getting a few votes. As an overall package on a .22LR I don't think you can beat it, I use one on my WMR and HMR as well.
