Red-dot
I'm so old my first car was a trade-in once owned by Fred Flintstone. It needed new tyres and brakes and the engine left a lot to be desired on the hills. Had a pretty useless heater and the roof leaked. Thankfully that was some years ago but i have the modern day equivalent... A Land Rover Defender!

CaptC
1947 MC TC. Bought it for £150 and sold it 18 months later for £250 as I was fund raising to buy myself out of the Army! The only car (of well over a hundred plus) that I regret selling and almost weep when I see what they fetch now but hey ho, I needed the money! I think it went to the USA - DDR 16 was the registration number Edited February 21, 2017 by CaptC

Tedly47
My first on the road car! Was a mini 1275 gt which was fully rally prepared, got pulled all the time in it but I did drive like a bit of a d##K... Then the list is endless, here's a few.. Mk1 fiesta xr2 Peugeot 205 gti (1.6) in Miami blue wish this was still in my garage) Mk2 escort rs Turbo Fiat punto gt Peugeot 405 sri Peugeot 405 mi16 Citroen saxo vts Citroen xarsa vts Renault Clio 182 trophy, bought new kept it for 3 years as a second car and sold it for what I paid for it (it was a cancelled order so I didn't pay VAT) wish I still had this too. Lotus Elise Then lots of sports bikes!!!!! Married and kids!!!!!!! Boring stuff to follow.... Volvo xc90 Vw tiguan, worst car I've ever owned Alfa 147 BMW 130i m sport with 300bhp (wife liked driving it more than me!!) Audi a6 black edition Jeep patriot(gun truck) But by far one of the best was a jimny that I bought off here as my first shooting truck, it was a heap, but it took me back to when I first used to drive heaps around the fields on the farm, it smelt funny, the wheels would shake when I got to ,50 mph my missus refused to get in it... however I sold it a year after buying it for double the price I paid to someone who wanted it for off road use.... still miss it as does my daughter.. There's loads more but it would take me too long to list!!! Just think of all the money we've collectively lost!!! Tedly
Scotty99
Morris 1000 Traveler, reg was 668 BCA, you could use the starting handle to start it when the battery was low, only had synchromesh on first gear, a complete new exhaust system cost me £3, had trafficators not indicators the one drivers side used to stick a quick bang on the door post would release it. Great fun.

Duckandswing
F reg Nissan Micra with a 1.0l engine. Was an absolute shed. Every time I stopped and got out I would have to put it in gear and rock it to unstick the starter motor. It went after the back axle fell off at 60mph. I bricked it that day. UKPoacher
lol I remember getting 8 of us in a Vauxhall Astra, 2 in the front, 5 in the back and one in the boot. itchy trigger
£30 Morris Traveler, split windscreen one, 850cc, needed brakes sorting and a clutch, couldn't afford a good one, learnt how to fix it on the drive under my dad's instruction Ford Consul convertible, column change, bench seats, great fun but what a shed. blew that up coming home from Liverpool on the east lancs Ford Cortina MK1, ex rally car, cosmetically looked a wreck but was mechanically sorted, even down to DS11's and VG95's, knew enough then to be a part time mechanic on racing cars, so could sort everything, chased by the police often, never caught, I was total lunatic, then numerous Alfa Romeo's
Lord v
A Talbot samba. Paid £20 for it, lasted 6 months before the breaks failed and I stuffed it into a lamppost. My car after that was a 1l 1986 vw polo. God I loved that car. Essentially a go-kart, but so much fun around corners. A small engine and a wide wheelbase meant brakes were largely optional when throwing it around country lanes. Ah, good times.
decoy1979
An Austin Metro 1.0L Reg - C516 WRT, It lasted about 6 months before I upgraded to a 1.4L Ford Escort Reg - E361 GPV.. Pistol p
A mark 2 escort popular plus HNO 57T. I paid £300 quid for it. Blew it up on the first night out, but learned so much over years of pulling it to pieces and "uprating" it. Ruined many an engine and back seat in it. It's now been rebuilt as a Rothmans rally replica with a full BDA set up, ZF box and atlas axle, the guy reckons he's spent £35,000 getting it there from what I've been told.
