keeper96
Hi guys It's my 21st Coming up soon and my dad has said he'd like to get me a decent watch to keep. Thing is we've only got around £200 to spend. I appreciate I'm not going to get any big names like tag, Rolex etc. But does anyone have any reccomendations in that ball park? Could possibly push to £250 but that's realisticly the max Thanks Jamie

Muddy Funker
How about a nice seiko 007? Bought from creation watches you'll have plenty of change too. http://www.creationwatches.com/products/seiko-divers-60/seiko-automatic-diver-skx007-skx007k1-skx007k-rubber-band-mens-watch-784.html Edited July 21, 2017 by Muddy Funker

Paddy Galore!
that'll get you a nice Seiko or citizen, check the likes of h samuels or f hinds for their end of line stuff, I got a couple of nice watches in a sale for half the marked price for about the money you have, a Seiko premier with perpetual calendar in stainless with white dial, and a bulova (citizen make them) no whistles or bells on it but it does have a large face and sweep second hand in stainless and carbonfibre. nothing flash but they look nice and they last. I have an old Seiko kinetic that I wear for work and it must be nigh on 20 yrs old, I've replaced a strap, the glass, and due to an altercation with a tree stump I had to replace the dial as well, all in that little lot cost £150 to fix. just about the price of a new one

fitzy
Have a look at Time Factors if you fancy something a bit different. The Smiths PRS-37 is a fiver over budget and the PRS-25 is fiver under. My favourite watch that I own and within your budget is the Seiko 'BFK' SKA371. Look at online retailers like Creation watches as they're significanty cheaper than the high street.

Uilleachan
For that budget look at the seiko automatic (mechanical) range. £250 will get a decent watch.

masmiffy
Dont disregard 'used' watches. Have a look at creation watches refurbished section for an idea. More watch for your money and if its a good brand a watch will last a long long time. Personally go for a known watch maker rather than a fashion name. I have always liked Tissot Edited July 21, 2017 by masmiffy
itchy trigger
How about a nice seiko 007? Wingman
Look at Parnis http://www.parniswatch.pro/ Yes there chinese but there good quality and most tend be a "homage" to other well known brands! I have three from this site and they always arrive

I got a 007J from creation watches for my 40th, it was about £170.00, delivered in 3 days. the rubber strap wasn't very comfortable so I changed it for a leather wrapped in sailcloth one. figgy
Citizen nighthawk/ red arrows ecodrive used for your budget, one of the best watches you can buy for telling the time. I did some research regarding creation and the reviews are for the majority positive so I took a punt. I'm no watch guru but the 007 I ordered arrived within a week all boxed with legit looking paperwork and as yet hasn't missed a beat. I know the odd person sometimes gets hit with taxes ect.
