I was going to pick the same song, even before I saw the original poster had put Junior Brown up there, but the line, "I've got a wife with a frying pan and when she talks I listen" from Broke down south of Dallas shows he has a funny side and well a playing a guitar superbly. Highway Patrol is a fantastic piece of guitar work.

To many to chose from. This goes back to some older singer song writers, Waylon Jennings, Johny Cash, Patsy Cline, James Taylor, Jim Crochet to name just a few and up to some of the younger singer song writers like Dixie Chicks, Leanne Rimes.

Depends in the mood I am in but I do enjoy a wide variety but there is also a lot of country music that sucks.

Elvis Costello had a brief moment with "a good year for the roses" and i'll take the time to listen to a bit of Steve earl. but then i'll listen to anything that carries a tune, except Bieber, that one sucks the rigid member of satan

That made me laugh!

I'm with you on Steve Earl. Favourite is Copperhead Road. Liked his early stuff too.

I love a bit of Jonny Cash... does that count?

I saw him years ago in London with the Carter family , brilliant show .

I also went to see Boxcar Willie here in Yarmouth....... dressed like a rail road worker and sang about trains ......... I know , but it was a winters night with very little else to do
