BADGER.BRAD
Apart from reloading what other uses do you put your old cartridges to ? I quite often bring a handful home and use them as air rifle targets in the garden when hit they generally jump into the air if I've stood them up so quite reactive, I've also used them on end as a target and on the odd occasion put a primer in and attempted to shoot that . I've also used 20g shells as bar ends on my push bike and I gave some away to a guy who cut them down and used them as wheel nut covers for his car. Come on what else ya got. Smokersmith
I’ve yet to see a classy use for them. The jewellery/cufflinks are truly awful IMHO.
ag12g
i used 4.10 brass heads for my wood turning on clock faces and shotguns as hands, and in the days when I smoked I used a 12g cartridge to hold a clipper lighter
B725
My niece is going to use them as name card holders at her wedding later this year,we just have to fill 150 of them with plaster of paris to stop them falling over.
impala59
I am fairly certain that the plastic is of a type that can be remoulded into all sorts of things rather like bottle caps can, check out the craft and diy threads on this forum

Sorry to disagree with you on this but the pair of cufflinks using 20bore cartridges made for me by James (Bobby199 on PW) look really great. They have been gold plated and on the very few occasions that I now wear cufflinks, have had some really good comments. Made special by the fact that one shot a woodcock and the other a pheasant, both walked up. Just my own take on it.
Centrepin
My daughter makes clocks, Christmas wreaths, various decorations, key rings, cigarette lighter holders, christmas baubles and brooches. Normally they sell out straight away.
Dave at kelton
A freind of mine took some of my old eights, plated them and used them as bar ens on his Harley. Unfortunately he never sent me the pics.
panoma1
I have used cutoff brass (not plated!) 8 bore heads let into the coronet of an antler topped marsh/thumb stick.....and made wigeon whistles out of two cutoff cartridge heads pushed one inside the other........but most are retained for reloading! martinj
I put them over the bamboo support canes in my potted tomatoes and other plants, to prevent myself getting poked in the eye while tending the plants.
figgy
Ideal in garden to top canes or line pins saves your eye sight. Also good for cutting base of standing lots in tray with compost for seeds. Poke out plug of compost and seedling out with finger use another empty cart as a dibber to plant. I like that, I was going to make a similar one but glue them to an old cup instead. Been looking at using old brass, inserted into a nice bit if wood upright to use a key holder. Deer antler thumb grip, and cartridges for ferrules .....when they wear out just stick a new one on I also got two with a lot of "brass" on. Kept brass off one and used it as a cap for the other and kept my earplugs in it . it's still in the bottom of the cartridge bag with an emergency set of earplugs if I forget the CENS ones
