bruno22rf
So, a Gentleman in his 80's has been stabbed to death whilst riding his mobility scooter in London, if this doesn't scream "bring back the rope" then what the hell does?, 2 weeks ago a 9 year old girl was stabbed and killed, where, in Gods name, is justice failing us? oldypigeonpopper
Hello, only just seen this on the news, another sad day in our country , I agree on the , bring back the rope, but no doubt it will be a few years in prison and that's no justice for this man and his family
old'un
sick society, it will only get worse with very little to deter these types, more than likely trying to rob the poor man for drugs money. Bring back hanging or make life mean life for these types of crime.

Beretta 687
Sadly I think our great country is on a downward spiral, I spend most of my working life in areas like Putney/Crystal Palace/Richmond and I have definitely noticed a change over the last ten years. You can definitely see that drug use has become more apparent. Thankfully I mostly work in the wealthier parts of these areas but to get too work you have to drive through some pretty bad neighbourhoods. The high streets now are mostly chicken shops and barbers (which are usually CASH ONLY so very little tax is paid) I think the mentality has also changed in the younger generation as we struggle to find young lads to help as labourers on jobs, they seem very precious nowadays or have this idea that they are to good to for certain jobs. Most of the young lads we have used recently are more worried about their hair, social media and wanting to be rich but sadly do not have the work ethic too match and always have attitude! I think selling drugs has been glamourised and it’s almost the easy way out for these young people to make money but sadly violence and unjustified killings like this happen to innocent people.. Poor fella!
old man
Worry not, it won't get better. The more the population is scared, the less it can focus it's ire on the politicos who enable it?

Minky
Yeah, but the ole boy was blocking the path with his mobility scooter. And when he started to play tunes on his accordion it was the last straw. It must have been his fault. The only way out of this is to issue a LOT of dodgy drugs onto the street. Eventually they'll either get fed up with it or the problem will be reduced. In the past they used to have a plague or a good war to control the situation

Of course no one will, the fact that it was reported on the radio news all day, the police were asking for witnesses and looking for "someone", without giving a description, told me all I needed to know. Poor fella! I think you are pretty accurate in your comments about the state of play with our younger generation, I see this so often when recruiting into roles in the care industry. The work ethic for some is none existent. Why work when you are supported not to, commit crime when there is very little punishment to deter you. Society is permanently broken and is on a downward cycle.
