steve_b_wales
Well, after many months of taking precautions in work against the above (masks24/7) regular temperature checks and anti bac use, because of a very selfish person (my elderly mother) who insisted on visiting family from Swansea last week, my wife was diagnosed positive Monday and me today. My wife caught it from my mother, as she did her shopping etc, and of course, I could it off my wife. Tamping is not the word. We are both feeling rough and I'm finding it awkward to breath properly. I'm also type 2 diabetic which could be an increased risk. On top of that I've now lost wages from work, including double time Xmas Eve / Boxing Night night shifts. I will now lost a considerable amount of money. Staff who I worked with last Saturday night, prior to my weekly swab test in work, have now had to be retested with one showing signs of the virus! I just hope we can weather the storm and it will soon go. Edited December 23, 2020 by steve_b_wales

Mice!
Bad news that especially as you've been following all the rules and been being careful with work. I'm sure cases will soar when families meet over xmas, just a matter of being careful about who you meet and being sensible, no hugs and kisses for granny. Take care Steve, especially with having diabetes as well.
fatchap
Yeah rest up mate. I found treating it as a cold or flu helped little nip of brandy and a couple of paracetamols before you turn in at night to get a bit of a sweat on does feel like it takes the edge off. Speedy recovery for you both.

turbo33
Steve, the majority content of your posts are money oriented, this is not a time to be concerned with a piddling amount of money, when you and you good lady have a life threatening disease and are struggling to breath! “There are no pockets in shrouds”!, Focus on you and your wife’s health, and I truly hope it all passes you by with no legacy. atb t33

Vince Green
I was a bit worried that we hadn't heard from Steve today so I sent him a text to which he replied He is finding it hard going, still having problems, but was able to talk by text. The text was appreciated Vince, and also the ones from Mel b3. More than I've had from so called friends in work etc. Still struggling to breathe properly (I ended up in A&E on Boxing Day with low blood/oxygen levels) and have absolutely no appetite. My wife is the same. We just seem to be laying up on the settee's keeping warm. Hopefully, we'll start improving soon and can look forward to a new start in 2021. Thanks. Steve. Hi Steve, I haven't had Covid 19 [don't think so,,,, not been tested] but did have a very bad chest infection early in the year, and some of the symptoms are exactly as you describe, so sort of know what you and mrs_b are going through. Keep warm, safe and positive, but most of all, get well 👍 ATVB for 2021 😉

Mine was done through work on a weekly basis and I didn't know at the time of the test that I had the virus, although by the time the results came back (3 days) I was then showing many of the symptoms.
