Maybe they (Government) have realised that the deterrent of "If you arrive here, we will provide you accommodation, food, health services and cash ad infinitum" wasn't working - appears this Rwanda idea seems to have some legs then

The British Government is legally obliged to provide accommodation etc.

But it doesn't specify where.

its how for 1000's of years the/our aristo' overlords have used the franchise to control us..to their benifit..

Jomo Kenyatta made the observation that when the missionaries arrived, the Africans had the land and the missionaries had the Bible. "They taught us to pray with our eyes closed. When we opened our eyes, they had the land and we had the Bible."

A similar saying some attribute to Desmond Tutu. "When the missionaries came to Africa they had the Bible and we had the land. They said 'Let us pray.' We closed our eyes. When we opened them we had the Bible and they had the land."

With quite a few children from what I could see, families will not be sent to Rwanda.

I can see a trade in small children to be escorted by their strapping 20s "Uncles", their sole family.

In an ideal world there would be jets on standby at Manston, fuelled up for Rwanda, and the dinghy boys quickly processed and flown out before they had spent more than a day on UK soil.

One can only dream

It galled on me last night to hear some lefty jerk saying immigrants had no other option to get to UK than by the dangerous illegal means. Whilst it will be uncomfortable I don't think its as dangerous as made out when they are escorted/assisted chaperoned by patrol and lifeboats if they let themselves be found.

They don't HAVE to select their final destination as England.

interesting VT footage taken by Farage ...showing "migrants " 2 or 3 /boat throwing their phones into the water as they near land/pick up.......

That's why you have to be tough and say "no paperwork? Back of the queue, those with paperwork please come to the front"

Afraid the horse has bolted AGAIN and the civil servants have again failed to do their job efficently.  As said previous, before this announcement about Rwanda, there should have been a couple of military planes fueled and ready to go

Big sign....welcome aboard.

Of course they have now seen it was all hot air and they are shipping them over again.

A big part of the problem is (as you say) the Civil Servants not doing their jobs properly.

They will give this initiative the silent treatment like they have with every other initiative in the past. Why? Because it involves having to get up off their backside and do something for a change.
