Scully
I wasn't keen on his appearances latterly, but he was a mainstay of Saturday night entertainment when I was a lad. A showbiz icon. Sad news.

Gordon R
Got to be honest - never rated him at all. Not funny, mediocre pianist, dancer and Sammy Davis Junior impressionist. His arrogance is well known to many who have met him. He did well for himself with limited talent.
Jaymo
Poor fella What was a Saturday evening without the Generation Game! My wife appeared on Play your Cards right in the 90's ( won a car n cash too) Time for him to entertain in the Sky

Walker570
An icon in the entertainment industry. Yes, you loved him or hated him but he was a STAR until the end and made a lorra money from his abilities. He had a good life and I cannot agree he was arrogant.... direct yes. I acted as marshal on a pro/am golf match once and he was a nice guy to be around on that day. Edited August 18, 2017 by Walker570
Dougy
A proper celebrity. Not like the 5 minute wonder wannabe you get nowadays.
Gordon R
I cannot agree he was arrogant Two minutes on Google will tell you all you need to know. That said, he was a genuine star. We can debate his talent or off stage personality, but his stardom is not open to question.
Pigeon Shredder.
It would have been more respectful if the OP had got his name right. Perdantic as ever. The OP made an error many thanks for POINTING it out. We can obviously look forward to many more inclusions from yourself given the typos and grammatical errors that PW gets from its members mistakenly or otherwise. Go to the top of the class. JohnfromUK
Like several other posters, I wasn't a great fan, but he was liked - and his long and successful career is testament to that. I understand he also did a lot of charitable work. Bottom line is that he will be sadly missed by a great many people.
AVB
RIP Brucie. I have heard people say he was arrogant, others say he was nice. My wife partnered him on a pro am golf day years ago. She said he was a laugh. He was a gooner though :(
