PPP
Hoping it’s not just me.. invited to a friends bbq earlier and was helping unpack the swingball when I used my pocket knife to open the box... queue gasps of horror that an adult was carrying a knife especially ‘in this day and age’ from all his Mrs townie mates.. This is 2 ¾ inch no locking knife that goes everywhere with me, personally I don’t see an issue, is it just me?

Mice!
It would depend on what i was wearing, keep meaning to get something small for my key ring. Years ago i would have said yes, these days probably not.

washerboy
Only if fishing or dog walking, have one in the boot lining of my car. I wouldn't have one at a social event
Scully
Me. Everyday and everywhere. It’s so ingrained I had to set a reminder on my phone to leave it at home when I went abroad last month.
wymberley
Was in a Premier Inn in Southampton just before Christmas and one of the lady staff members was unpacking a boxed tree to put up in the lounge/bar area and having trouble opening the box. I got up, opened my knife and passed it to her handle first. She smiled her thanks and set to work. When finished, she closed the knife and gave it back with a thank you. She never turned a hair. Walker570
I have carried one for 71yrs, my first being a birthday present from my grandfather, a Lambsfoot and I still have the scars. It's the non locking type which are dangerous, believe me. Carried one throughout my service in the police force for 28yrs and used a number of times to cut safety belts from trapped motorists and many other uses. I carry one still today. team tractor
My mate was done in Asda for having a Stanley knife in his work trousers. It’s a dodgy ground carrying one with no good reason. When wearing my work trousers I never go without a stanly knife in my pocket but it’s a tool. When hunting I have a knife on my belt permanently and a paracord just in case. when I’m going out like today for a picnic or bbq /visiting friends/ going for a meal I can’t think of a good reason to carry a knife. i always have one in my van door with my pens /tape etc or 4x4 in the back of the seat. my other half is a police officer and a lot of my friends , cousins partner is on the murder squad . I’ve asked them all on legality of carrying knives and no one has a straight answer besides proving the need. I’m not police but I just think it’s not worth the hassle
